You’ll be able to squeeze the maximum amount of sea air out of your Dorset coastal break when you stay at East Fleet Farm Touring Park – this spectacular location is on the shores of the Fleet Lagoon, with views over Chesil Beach to the open sea beyond. Having sea views from the site means that you may be tempted to hang around on your pitch, put your feet up and simply take in the scenery for much of your break. And that’s not a bad idea at all – pitches are generously sized, with access to a play area and playing field for kids that may need a bit more activity. The well-stocked shop has various camping/caravan accessories and consumables, and it’s also the place to pick up a newspaper and an ice cream to take back to your camping chair. For more substantial eats, head to the on-site bar, which has an extensive food menu as well as a range of local drinks. It really is worth making the effort to get out and about locally though: there are some stunning walks on the South West Coast Path (which passes next to the site) and plenty of places to go for a bike ride. Weymouth and Dorchester are easily accessed too, as are the watersports of Portland and attractions such as Abbotsbury Swannery.

Liked: Very well kept site, nice short grass Large pitches. Great walks straight from campsite. Friendly helpful staff. Massive shower rooms with own toilet and sink.
The site is well situated to visit Weymouth, Portland and many other costal locations.
Will definitely recommend to others and visit again.

Disliked: Would have liked another entrance to dog walking field down near coastal path & more recycling opportunities. Absolutely nothing else to dislike.

Primitive grass campsite

Liked: Very well run campsite. Excellent staff and welcoming and helpful. Shower blocks best I've seen. Really clean with great facilities. Peaceful at night. Other campers very considerate. Enjoyed the dog walk field and access to jurassic costal pathway. Very well stocked and reasonably priced on-site shop. Good information on the notice boards.

Disliked: Food not great from the on-site pub. I think can be a bit hit and miss when busy.
I can't fault the running of this site, but it's not really our cup of tea as used to more farm camping with fires and spontaneous get togethers. But no fault to management on that as is personal taste. I would say really good for families and those who like to sleep well at night so I can't knock it.

Liked: Nice level spots. Very clean and well maintained site. Brilliant staff and all the ones we met were happy and friendly. Very responsible price wise.
Good location for walkers and site seeing. Toilet and shower rooms very clean and well maintained.

Local attractions

Can’t keep your eyes off the sea views? Pick up the South West Coast Path at the bottom end of the park, or head for favourite spots along the Jurassic Coast like West Bay (half an hour’s drive) and Lulworth Cove (35 minutes). The Isle of Portland (15 minutes) is also a great place for a walk, and it’s also got lots of watersports including windsurfing, coasteering and scuba diving. Weymouth (10 minutes) is another perennial favourite for its lovely sandy beach and attractions like the Sea Life Centre and Pirate Adventure Golf. You can also get to the town on two wheels by picking up the Weymouth Trail cycle route from the bridleway by the site (or follow the full nine-mile trail up into the hills…) Other options for days out nearby include Abbotsbury Swannery and Subtropical Gardens (15 minutes), Vurlands Animal Farm (20 minutes) or an arty afternoon at Sculpture By The Lakes (half an hour).
