In need of a Devon des res with smashing views? Lynmouth Holiday Retreat is a quiet site in the hills above Lynton and Lynmouth in the Exmoor National Park. As it's got direct access to the A39, it's a top contender if you're looking for a base to explore the Devon and Somerset coast. Needless to say, there's plenty of stunning scenery around here: keep your eyes peeled for resident wildlife like wild ponies, red deer and birds of prey. The surrounding countryside is also full of trails for rural rambles, including the long-distance South West Coast Path. Dogs are welcome at the site and direct access to footpaths makes it a breeze to keep Fido fit and healthy. Lynmouth Holiday Retreat has plenty of practical benefits too: facilities include a food shop, wifi, a washing-up area and a launderette to keep your gear spick and span. If you find yourself getting peckish, feel free to set up a barbecue, order a takeaway or head down into Lynton (five minutes away) to stock up at the supermarket. You'll likely want to linger here for a stroll around its picture-worthy cottages, fishing boats and genteel Victorian buildings. Alternatively, forage for your own supper by taking the kids crabbing down at Lynmouth harbour (five minutes' drive).

喜欢 What a little gem! The greeting was amazing couldn’t be more helpful, the site is immaculate as are the toilets and showers, lovely spacing between pitches, great surprise to find a very friendly man serving cocktails and good food, Best chips ever! Great dog field as well. All in all I couldn’t fault it! I will be returning! Please keep the fees reasonable! And dont follow other sites that are charging silly money! Thank you for a lovely stay ♥️

喜欢 Well organised camping site with great showers and washroom... WiFi throughout the site and a very pleasant country walk from the site into Lynton.. Some pitches were on a slight slope so if in a van you will need levelling ramps.
Staff were friendly and helpful.. I would recommend this site..

喜欢 Excellent site, great facilities spotlessly clean showers and toilets. We went for the private shower option for a small charge per day. Very welcoming helpful staff, even warm pastries and coffee from reception.
Fantastic views from the site out to sea and very peaceful and relaxing.

喜欢 Amazing views, clean facilities, really dog friendly. Pizza van on Mondays delicious and ordering fresh croissants each morning was a bonus!
Great location for amazing scenery of north Devon. On the app there are various walks easy to follow.

不喜欢 Unfortunately it was an incredibly windy week up on bay view pitches; we had to take our awning down the day after arrival and we were there for a week and couldn’t put it back up. We saw people’s tents rip and guy ropes snap so be prepared if it’s windy!
Ticks- be vigilant thank you for the posters up and about informing you. We got off at least 40 throughout the week luckily he’s on tick treatment too.

Guests here have plenty of attractions and activities on their doorstep in and around Lynton and Lynmouth (five minutes' drive). For a novel way to travel between the two, try the funicular cliff railway that connects the twin towns. In the surrounding countryside, you can marvel at the geological formations of the Valley of the Rocks (10 minutes) or head out to the forest around Watersmeet (15 minutes) for waterfalls and an elegant Victorian tea room. Many head to this part of the country in search of outdoor pursuits, so sporty types may well be pleased to learn that Lynmouth Holiday Retreat is close to a stables (10 minutes), fishing lake (20 minutes) and golf club (40 minutes). To really get that blood pumping, hike some or all of the 14 miles along the coast to Combe Martin, a hilly stretch of the South West Coast Path that includes this trail's highest point. You may, of course, prefer a day lounging on the beach (and with beaches like these, who can blame you?). Top seaside towns nearby include Minehead, with its rockpools, and Ilfracombe with its castle and aquarium (both half an hour away).
