喜欢: The campsite is in a beautiful valley with a stream running alongside that is perfect for the kids the play in. The staff were really friendly and the showers were hot.

不喜欢: There are not enough facilities for two large fields of campers. There is only one sink for washing up, which also happened to be the designated smoking area. We only stayed for one night, and it was a Saturday so I assume they had been busy all week and had no time to clean anything. None of the facilities were cleaned over night. I’ve never had to use such disgusting toilets. A woman came out as I went to use them first thing in the morning and she actually began wretching because of the smell. Think festival toilets in a heat wave. The only bin on sight is a skip across the road. This site could be amazing because of its location but it just wasn’t. We won’t be going back.

喜欢: Absolutely loved the place me and my girlfriend are definitely staying again, lovely lady who ran the site helped with absolutely anything you could need, great views of the hills, has toilets, showers and fresh water you can’t ask for much more really

不喜欢: The toilets smelt really bad the whole time and felt dirty. The pub was closed (this isn’t the camp sites fault) but would have been a better experience.

喜欢: This was our second visit to this campsite . It is now our most favourite place to camp when visiting the lakes. Our daughter loves the stream that runs along side, the campsite is flat, busy enough but quiet at night are still plenty of room for the kids to kick a football around. minutes walk from a pub with views to die for. the most lovely walk to Derwent water without it being too much for little legs including a walk through the forest. Stunning views of catbells to one side and a forest to the other. The campsite has an ice-cream truck that visits at tea time and the family that run the site couldn't do enough to help you with whatever you need. ❤️ A special shout out to their daughter who made friends with our daughter making it even more fun.❤️

喜欢: People who run the campsite are very friendly & always there if you need anything. Was a lovely weekend with my family & friends the kids loved it. It is in a beautiful location.

喜欢: Very friendly staff. Very accommodating. Although it didn't bother us, there was a bit of noise from a neighbouring pitch but staff came over to apologise. Beautiful area with so many things to do close by. Outstanding views.

不喜欢: I think there were 3 separate pitch areas. My only suggestion would be to have a small toilet & shower block in each area.

喜欢: Views, friendly & helpful people running the site, quiet a well managed campsite. Showers okay (depending on the time of day you used them, when my 16YO daughter went later in the day she said it was full of bugs.)

不喜欢: Toilets are portaloo toilets (albeit fancy ones) which were okay night one but the second night I think the solution was changed and the smell was so bad that it was hard breathe in.

喜欢: Great campsite in a perfect location! Phone signal which was a massive plus for my teenager! Lovely, clean river runs along left side of field as you enter. Good base for a hike up cat bells or 20 min walk down to the lake. Clean, modern toilets and the shower block looked good although we didn't use. Dogs and campfires allowed; hire there or bring your own. The pub at the top of the lane isn't open until July so we will definitely be back then as it looks like a lovely place! Great stay and would definitely recommend!
