喜欢 Lovely rural quiet and relaxed campsite only a stone’s throw from a very beautiful stretch of the North Norfolk coastline. We walked to Stiffkey which is just over a mile from the site, and it’s then easy to access the coastal footpath. Wells next to the Sea, Morston, Blakeney and Cley are all only a short drive away. There are plenty of footpath nearby.
The site is a large well mowed open paddock field with plenty of space between everyone, and the owners are very friendly.
It is a basic site as described in the online description but our campervan can go off grid and has everything onboard so note we didn’t need facilities.
Great mobile signal which is always a bonus for Norfolk!
Stiffkey has a lovely village store which serves coffees and homemade cakes in their courtyard.
The site is only a short walk from The Dome on the old WWII Langham airfield. It was a training facility.
Binham priory is a few miles away and there are plenty of other places to visit in this area.
We will definitely stay again.

喜欢 Basic, no frills site- exactly as described- it’s a field on a working farm. Fresh water, waste disposal and two portaloos. Absolutely no WiFi. Beautiful countryside. Stars at night. Laid back and peaceful.

喜欢 Great view of the sheep on the hillside and lots of space to choose where to pitch your tent.

不喜欢 The portable toilets were a disappointment . They were very over used and therfore one ran out of fluid to flush and the other one was then so bad I actually gagged.

喜欢 So so peaceful and quiet! Well kept and no “set” pitch, which meant we could have our own space between each tent and didn’t feel cramped!! Port- a -loo toilets were clean and backup loo roll was on hand! Beautiful sunsets/sunrises. About a 5-10 minute drive into central Wells.

喜欢 Very relaxed and lots of room. Good ground for easy pitching (flat, no stones). Easy to find.

不喜欢 For a longer stay the toilet facilities are insufficient. Not only is there no shower, also no sink, no option of washing onselfe. Might be ok for campervan but difficult for people with less gear like us. Toilets cleaned every 10 days.

喜欢 Nice quiet location. Good for walking. We walked across Cockthorpe Common - beautiful - to the Coast Path following part of the circular route to Morton and then we continued to Blakeney and Cley. Caught the Coasthopper bus from Cley to Wells for £3 and then took a taxi back to Cockthorpe - be warned taxis are like gold dust and no fleet in Wells so you need to prebook. Last Coasthopper bus is around 6.30pm.

不喜欢 It was expensive for a field with a portaloo.

喜欢 The countryside setting, and the peace on the first night.

不喜欢 The site doesn’t work when it is as full as it was when I was there. You can’t have just two toilets and one water tap and have well over a hundred people here. The toilets were disgusting, constant queue for them. The site was fine on the first night, because it was very few of us. But the site needs to make a decision as to whether it wants to invest in better facilities so it can host more people, or cap the amount of bookings it accepts. Really disappointing.

喜欢 Easy to find but through fairly narrow roads. Not a problem though.
The description was honest. It’s literally just a field with 2 portaloos, a shed with a couple of maps and information (phone numbers etc), a water tap and somewhere to put water / toilet waste.
The Stiffkey store (shop, cafe) and bus stop was 25 minutes walk, the pub was 30 minute walk.
The marshes at the sea, about a 45+ minute walk.
The bus is excellent - going between Wells to Cromer. From Stiffkey, it was about 10 minutes to Wells for £2:50.
All in all, a good stay.

不喜欢 As it’s a field with very basic facilities, I would say it’s a tad overpriced. But. The other local sites are far more expensive and busy but far closer to attractions (towns, the sea etc) and with more facilities.
You must be self sufficient to stay here and bring provisions. It’s best to walk and get the bus if you’re going along the coast as parking in Wells (for example) is difficult.
