As soon as we turned down the road we had a bad feeling- and as we pulled into the gate way it became clear why.
We pulled into a small paddock with a scrap van and boat fenced off, a conpletely trashed portacabin-like building and 2 run down static caravans. No one was about and we immediately turned around to find a different campsite.
On this website the site is shown to have 7.1 stars, however when you actually read all the poor reviews you wonder why.
According to other reviews there is another paddock you camp in, but campers pictures show the paddock is equally as run down, with scrap in the hedges and the toilets are terrible.
Me and my friend were left quite distraught by this experience and lost money.

Not impressed.

喜欢 Peaceful ... quiet .... great location direct access to coastal path with outstanding views. Toilets, washing up area and showers basic but relatively clean. If you are looking for peace and quiet this is your site. Nice flat field firepits available and wood. Owner came round to check you were ok and if needed anything then left you to it ... good phone signal too for peace of mind, just what was needed great site will definitely be returning.

喜欢 Quiet, loads of space on pitch, friendly folks, clean toilets, adventure to go for a shower

不喜欢 Shower block could do with a bit of a spruce up
Not disliked but inconvenient-unable to spot where to recycle anything and no waste water/chemical loo disposal but at it is advertised as a campsite it wasn't a bother as we could empty at the next camping/campervan spot!

喜欢 We were looking for a basic, quiet camping experience, and this campsite was exactly what we needed. Beautiful surroundings, close to the beach, plenty of space, fire pits were provided and reasonably priced firewood available to purchase. Toilets and showers were very basic, but kept clean. The owner was very welcoming and made sure everyone was happy. We will definitely return next summer

喜欢 Great campsite. Short walk to Trimingham beach. Tony was great help and we had a lovely fire pit by our camp. There were clean showers and toilets with warm water. You are in with nature so be ready to make friends with spiders and moths!

喜欢 Absolutely thoroughly enjoyed my stay. upon arrival the owner Tony come out and introduced himself told me where all the amenities were and told me where I could pitch up (which was anywhere I felt I would like to be) I have been to this area before but quite awhile ago so when I asked about the local food and pubs and shops, Tony was very helpful updating me with surrounding conveniences

不喜欢 I dislike reading the negative reviews about this campsite. It is a basic campsite. It has two showers, washroom and toilets. But other than this, it is close to wild camping. I would suggest anyone that requires posh and fancy amenities pay 4 to 5 times the amount and go elsewhere but for my purposes this campsite was perfect and I shall be returning possibly within the next five or six weeks.

喜欢 Good phone signal.
Quiet on weekdays (July), although a bit eerie to be the only camper.

不喜欢 Not well maintained or cared-for; very, very basic with some dodgy old toilets that were half open to the elements, a "washing up" room with a flat concrete trough rather than sinks and no hot water.
Even £10 per night is too much to pay.

Off a single-track road with entrance through a bit of an abandoned junkyard to get to the camping field.
Lack of 'security': not part of a farm or a property where someone is always there to look after the site.

不喜欢 We had read reviews on various sites so we were no expecting much however this was worse than that. No reception or person on arrival, looks like a junkyard when you drive in (we had read this on other reviews but not how bad it was.). We parked up and thought at least if the facilities are ok, only need a loo and a shower, we can stay. We looked and after finally finding them and we didn't stay. We lost our money, we understand that but as hard core campers who have travelled most of Europe and the UK, we would not recommend one feature of this site unless you want the feeling of totally wild camping However to use it as a base for a few nights, not for us.
