It’s named after 14th-century Manorbier Castle’s deer park, but you might say sand is the theme of the holiday at Pembrokeshire’s Park Farm Holiday Park: it’s the closest site to the award-winning sands of Manorbier beach, which is just half a mile away along the farm’s own footpath, and one of 10 beaches within 10 miles. (That’s the first 10 days of the holiday sorted then…) Park Farm is also a paltry five miles from Pembrokeshire capital Tenby (do you hear the kids say ‘Oakwood Theme Park’?), five miles from Pembroke (and another castle), a few minutes from the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, and close to Carmarthen Bay and the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. The two other Pembrokeshire theme parks, Folly Farm and Heatherton, are within easy reach, as is Tenby’s roaringly good Dinosaur Park and big beasts lurking in its woods. Perhaps you’d better tell the boss not to expect you back for at least a couple of weeks… The accommodation area at Park Farm covers about seven well-drained acres of the farm’s 25 acres of wooded countryside. Basic facilities include a toilet block and showers in the tent camping area, with more amenities in the main park including a launderette, additional showers and a parent-and-baby washroom.

Tyckte om: Good location, nice walk to the beach and coastal path. Shower block nice and kept clean. Staff welcoming.

Tyckte inte om: WiFi was an extra £5 which was disappointed with. We have not stayed yet at a campsite which charges for wifi.

Tyckte om: The campsite was lovely and quiet with a nice walk to the beach. Staff were lovely at check-in and showed us to our pitches and let us know about the footpath to the beach and a nearby pub.

Tyckte om: Spacious pitches, clean toilets, showers and washing up facilities, dog friendly, the beach is less than 10 minute walk from the campsite which is also dog friendly, plenty of things near by for kids to do and also the town is less than 5 mins away you can walk or go by car. Tenby town is around 25 mins away, plenty to do, great little location. We would stay here again. We also had great mobile service we are both with three network some networks the signal is not great but ours worked great with three.

Tyckte om: What a lovely site, I stayed here years ago and i am pleased to see its original charm and character remains, i love that back to nature experience.

The staff were all so lovely and helpful. Giving us tips on the local area and really sharing all that Manobear has to offer.

The facility's were always clean and the showers so warm and powerful. I love that the radio plays in the facility's giving you little updates on the rest of world whilst you relaxing in a little pice of Pembrokeshire heaven.

The pitches are nicely spaced so you don't feel squashed in. Lovely open field for the children to feel free.

There was a lite ice cream van that came around in the evening this made a lush end of day treat.

There is a bath from the back of the campsite down to the beach passing a traditional dove house once linked to the castle you can go inside and see this lovely bit of history up close and personal.

The beach is beautiful, and the best place to enjoy the sunset in the evening.

I walked from the campsite into Tenby, it was a good walk and the spectacular views of the Pembrokeshire cost will defiantly bring me back very soon.

Lovely little friendly campsite a close drive to all the local tourist spots. thank you for my relaxing stay.

Tyckte inte om: Not really a dislike but i would recommend you bring your levelling blocks for a camper or caravan, this lovely welsh land can slope a little.

The facilities are lovely and work well they are not the most modern but work well and are so lovely and cosy.

The booking office is. A short drive from the camping facilities i followed the staff to our pitch, again they were lovely and could not have been more helpful.

Facilities were very clean and cleaned daily.
Beach close by. Great walking through the nearby woodlands.
The beautiful Manorbier castle is a must visit. Easily accessible either walking or car.

Lokala sevärdheter

Pack the wetsuit, surfboard and other foamy paraphernalia: this part of west Wales has several surrounding sands known for good surf, such as Manorbier beach (best for experienced surfers because of the strong currents), Tenby South and Freshwater West (where scenes in Harry Potter were shot, film fact fans). Jetskiing, kitesurfing, paddleboarding and kayaking are all available locally for a shot or two of more adrenaline, but if your idea of watersports verges on the sedate, you can take a RIB ride or hire a motorboat for a trip around Tenby harbour and Caldey Island to sightsee and species spot: dolphins and seals are often seen here. Fishing? Set your jaws and try to land a shark – quite a few toothy types swim along the south coast of Pembrokeshire because of the warm waters of the Gulf Stream, and a 150lb whopper was landed near Milford Haven in 2011. If the mere thought of sharks is bringing back disturbing childhood memories of a certain film, take a boat out for sea fishing instead from Tenby, Fishguard, Pembroke or Milford Haven, or try one of the shoals of river and stillwater course and game fishing around the county. On land, once you’ve spent the requisite days at Oakwood, Heatherton, Folly Farm and the Dinosaur Park, explorers have plenty of other leisurely options in the area for family days out. The 186 miles of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path can be joined at the far end of Tenby’s South Beach for a five-mile hike east to the golden sands of Saundersfoot and on for another two and a half miles to its finishing point at Amroth, via lots of stopoffs for snaps of seabirds and seals from the cliffs. Little nature fans should like a trip to Tenby’s Manor House Wild Animal Park for all manner of up-close encounters with lemurs, gibbons, meerkats and more, or a trip around the three floors of Ocean Commotion, a play park for kids from tots to ten. Once the kids are suitably bribed/tuckered out, grownups have plenty of pursuits in the area to pick from: try the indoor and outdoor markets at Tenby and the market at Pembroke Dock; a scenic drive west along the coast to cutely small St Davids (well worth the drive), or teeing off at one of Tenby’s top-class golf courses.
