  • Half a mile from award-winning Manorbier beach
  • 10 beaches within 10 miles of the site
  • Five miles from Tenby and close to Oakwood, Folly Farm and Heatherton
It’s named after 14th-century Manorbier Castle’s deer park, but you might say sand is the theme of the holiday at Pembrokeshire’s Park Farm Holiday Park: it’s the closest site to the award-winning sands of Manorbier beach, which is just half a mile away along the farm’s own footpath, and one of 10 beaches within 10 miles. (That’s the first 10 days of the holiday sorted then…) Park Farm is also a paltry five miles from Pembrokeshire capital Tenby (do you hear the kids say ‘Oakwood Theme Park’?), five miles from Pembroke (and another castle), a few minutes from the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, and close to Carmarthen Bay and the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. The two other Pembrokeshire theme parks, Folly Farm and Heatherton, are within easy reach, as is Tenby’s roaringly good Dinosaur Park and big beasts lurking in its woods. Perhaps you’d better tell the boss not to expect you back for at least a couple of weeks… The accommodation area at Park Farm covers about seven well-drained acres of the farm’s 25 acres of wooded countryside. Basic facilities include a toilet block and showers in the tent camping area, with more amenities in the main park including a launderette, additional showers and a parent-and-baby washroom.

What customers say

Great location, short walk to the beach/village. Staff are friendly, facilities are clean & pitches spacious. Some facilities could use updating, a few pitches uneven. Ice cream van visits. Peaceful base for Pembrokeshire coast.

Liked A 10 minute walk down a footpath to a nice beach.

Disliked Everything else! The pitches slope in all kinds of directions. We booked an electric hook up, but a huge tent had been allowed to set up in front of our hook up. Therefore our standard length hook up cable could not reach. The gentleman on site tried to find an extension for us but did not have one. Despite there being a large number of empty pitches (at least 10 that we could see) the lady we spoke to refused to move us (for even one night). She was extremely unhelpful. So sad, as we were 7 days into a fab holiday and had zero problems at every other site we had stayed at. We left and found somewhere much nicer up the road. I would avoid if I were you! The toilets were grim too.

Liked -The site itself is beautiful with fantastic views
-The facilities , whilst basic are sufficient and clean
-check in was smooth with an escort to our pitch
-although our request which we made upon booking (for a quite , remote pitch due to our daughters needs ) was ignored , this was quickly resolved upon request when we arrived

Disliked -The site is regularly patrolled throughout the day but they need to do this throughout the evening too to deal
With obnoxiously loud guests
-customer service- we decided it would be nice to stay an extra night so whilst out for the day we called the site to ask if that would be possible . We said we understood if it would not be possible being August . The lady who quite frankly was very miserable and made it sound like we were taking huge liberties by asking finally said that would be ok and it would be £33 for the night. As we were out I asked to pay via card over the phone to which she refused saying her card reader couldn’t do that and we would have to go to the site to pay in person . I asked if we could pay the following morning to save the drive but again she refused. She made it very clear that we had to be there by 17:00 as they would be leaving (despite advertising that the office was open til 18:00) . At this point it was 16:35 . My husband drove there arriving at 17:00 (we did explain that was the eta given our location at the time) . Lo and behold when my husband arrived they told him that the card reader wasn’t working and asked him to pay cash the following morning . So that was a 45 round trip for nothing. Also , the fuss they made about us asking to stay another night was confusing considering there were many empty pitches. You would have thought they’d be thankful we wanted to stay ? Oh and it turned out that they charged us £45 in the end (the extra was for the dog and children)

From the manager: Dear Joeleane,

Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations, and I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts.

I have looked into the matters you raised. You are absolutely right that we are currently unable to process card payments over the phone, as our payment system does not support this functionality. Additionally, on the day in question, we were experiencing issues with our card machine. In light of this, and to avoid any unnecessary waiting, we offered for the payment to be completed the following morning. I’d also like to clarify that your husband kindly offered to pay in cash, this was not something we requested.

Regarding our office hours, our guest policy, which is sent to all customers, states that our reception closes at 5:00 PM. However, during busier periods such as August, we do often remain open later to accommodate late arrivals, as was the case on the day of your visit.

I understand there was also a concern about your pitch request. While your booking note kindly acknowledged that you would understand if a quiet pitch couldn’t be guaranteed due to the time of year, I’m pleased we were able to relocate you to a more suitable area upon arrival.

In terms of pitch availability, please note that while some areas of the site may appear empty, many pitches are booked in advance and guests may be out for the day. All of our live availability is visible on Pitchup, ensuring transparency for all prospective visitors.

We genuinely value all feedback, both positive and constructive, as it helps us continue to improve the experience for our guests. I'm sorry if you felt unwelcome at any point- that is certainly not the experience we strive to provide.

Thank you once again for your comments, and I do hope we have the opportunity to welcome you again in the future.

Kind regards,
Denise
Park Manager

Liked The location is good. The facilities are also pretty good.

Disliked Did not like the owners attitude quite abrupt and inflexible. Requested two pitches next to each other. What we were allocated was two pitches on each end of a row. This request was due to one member of our party having anxiety. We were given one pitch when we arrived thanks to the helpfulness of the staff and a shared hook up. The campsite is squashed in like sardines and the noise level was extreme on the first night. No filter for a cut off or anyone taking any notice of disruptive groups. Most of the people in our row were disgusted by the noise and how late it went on.

From the manager: Hi

We are sorry to hear about your experience with us, we absolutely do our best to put people together when they request to be near friends or family but as your booking only came through 9 days before your arrival date placing you next to friends or family on this occasion we couldn't fulfil as I'm sure you understand August is the busiest month of the year and we only have 5 electric motorhome plots and both yourself and your friend both had a electric hook up point on your pitch.

Best Regards

Liked Manorbier is beautiful and Park Farm is well located and within walking distance to the village, castle, beach and the Pembrokeshire coast line.
The grounds of Park Farm are clean and well maintained.
The staff were very friendly.

Disliked We were very disappointed with the onsite facilities.
Arrived and needed the toilet to be told that the toilets by reception are broken and have been for some time.
Only 6 showers to cater for a good 200 people that were onsite camping.
They really need to invest and build some new shower blocks.
No onsite shop for basics.
No freezers for ice blocks as advertised.

Liked We had a wonderful 10 days, the site was well maintained, pitches were lovely. Showers etc were kept clean and tidy and were hot. It was quiet and peaceful. This was our 5th visit here and have booked again for next year. We love being able to walk to the beach.

Disliked When we first stayed we loved the fresh bread and pastries that we could get every morning and really miss this option. Would be great if we this could be brought back. Lights did not stay on and a few times was left in the dark.

Liked A fantastic camping experience!
We recently stayed here for a camping trip and absolutely loved it. The location is excellent — just a 15-minute walk to one of the most beautiful sandy beaches in Wales, with great waves and very clean facilities (toilets and showers were spotless!).

The whole place was super tidy and gave off a really relaxing, positive vibe. All the staff were incredibly friendly and respectful, which made the experience even better.

On top of all that, the price was very reasonable for what you get. Overall, it was a perfect spot for a peaceful and refreshing getaway. Highly recommend — we’ll definitely be back

Local attractions

Pack the wetsuit, surfboard and other foamy paraphernalia: this part of west Wales has several surrounding sands known for good surf, such as Manorbier beach (best for experienced surfers because of the strong currents), Tenby South and Freshwater West (where scenes in Harry Potter were shot, film fact fans). Jetskiing, kitesurfing, paddleboarding and kayaking are all available locally for a shot or two of more adrenaline, but if your idea of watersports verges on the sedate, you can take a RIB ride or hire a motorboat for a trip around Tenby harbour and Caldey Island to sightsee and species spot: dolphins and seals are often seen here. Fishing? Set your jaws and try to land a shark – quite a few toothy types swim along the south coast of Pembrokeshire because of the warm waters of the Gulf Stream, and a 150lb whopper was landed near Milford Haven in 2011. If the mere thought of sharks is bringing back disturbing childhood memories of a certain film, take a boat out for sea fishing instead from Tenby, Fishguard, Pembroke or Milford Haven, or try one of the shoals of river and stillwater course and game fishing around the county. On land, once you’ve spent the requisite days at Oakwood, Heatherton, Folly Farm and the Dinosaur Park, explorers have plenty of other leisurely options in the area for family days out. The 186 miles of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path can be joined at the far end of Tenby’s South Beach for a five-mile hike east to the golden sands of Saundersfoot and on for another two and a half miles to its finishing point at Amroth, via lots of stopoffs for snaps of seabirds and seals from the cliffs. Little nature fans should like a trip to Tenby’s Manor House Wild Animal Park for all manner of up-close encounters with lemurs, gibbons, meerkats and more, or a trip around the three floors of Ocean Commotion, a play park for kids from tots to ten. Once the kids are suitably bribed/tuckered out, grownups have plenty of pursuits in the area to pick from: try the indoor and outdoor markets at Tenby and the market at Pembroke Dock; a scenic drive west along the coast to cutely small St Davids (well worth the drive), or teeing off at one of Tenby’s top-class golf courses.
