La Laiterie

Ik was blij met Lovely peaceful location within easy reach of Épernay (18 mins drive through gorgeous vineyards). Claire made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. We ordered a bottle of champagne which promptly came out chilled in an ice bucket with glasses. Our only regret is we wish we’d asked Claire to join us for a glass! Oh and also that we could have stayed longer!! We did find it a bit tight to get from the driveway up onto the grass area due to the angle and the stone bollard, so we unhitched the caravan (6.3m incl hitch) and used the motor movers and it was fine. Getting off next day was no problem. All in all a lovely welcoming stay on this gem of a site. We’d love to come back and explore more of this scenic area … and have that glass of bubbly with Claire!! 😊

Ik was blij met We had a lovely, peaceful stay at this charming little campsite hosted by Claire and Didier. The site was easy to find and ideally located for exploring Épernay and the surrounding Champagne region. It was very quiet during our visit, which made for a relaxing and restful stop.

Getting in and out of the pitch around a large stone required a bit of patience and careful manoeuvring, but nothing unmanageable.

Claire was a warm and welcoming host. We enjoyed a delicious home-cooked English breakfast, and champagne was available on request – both of which we happily paid for. It was a great way to start the day and to enjoy a taste of the local culture.

All in all, a friendly and well-placed campsite that we’d be glad to return to next time we’re in the area

Ik was blij met Absolutely loved this site and we were sad to only stay 1 night. Beautiful village location and a short walk to a small church and to see a chateaux.
Claire was a fantastic host and she recommended some great local areas and arranged a champagne tasting for us.
Champagne available to purchase and it’s beautifully presented. Claire also made us a lovely breakfast in the morning - you just need to ask to see if it’s possible.
Large fully serviced pitch but you do need your own toilet / shower facilities.

Ik was blij met What a great little find this was! The hosts are super friendly & welcoming, and the site is very well maintained with really cute touches. Loved the bike with the champagne in the basket and the garden furniture. Our children enjoyed looking at the chickens & ducks and riding their bikes around the field. We felt very safe as the site is gated and the hosts live in the house next door. Unfortunately we had a night of terrible weather so didn’t get to sit out as much as we would’ve liked, but that just means we will have to come back another time! Also very reasonably priced (you should definitely charge more!). Thank you for having us! Oh and the WiFi is excellent, which was crucial for my husband’s work calls!

Ik was blij met Excellent peaceful clean site. Very friendly hosts - Claire and Didier. Great English breakfast. Excellent strong WiFi and 16 amp electrics. Could not fault anything! Excellent value for money. We will definitely return!

Ik was blij met We booked La Laiterie after having a disappointing experience elsewhere, and we’re so glad we did. Great flat pitches, with plenty of space. Lovely “extras” around the campsite with comfy seating, a sun lounger and nice decorative touches. Hosts were very friendly and attentive. We tried their delicious champagne and it was always delivered to us in ice bucket with champagne flutes for us to enjoy it (such nice service which was unexpected). We were also given some freshly picked cherry tomatoes to enjoy. All in all it was a 10/10 experience and if you’re lucky, you’ll meet Rudy the dog too. Hopefully we’ll be back!

Ik was blij met We didn’t like it … we LOVED IT!

Claire and Didier have made a lovely, very individual site, and are the best hosts and loveliest couple you could meet. As soon as we arrived we were greeted with smiles and they couldn’t do enough for us.

I highly recommend you try the champagne, it’s delicious… as is the breakfast in the morning.

We will definitely be back, this really made the last few days of our holiday in France very special.
