Liked: Such a beautiful setting, people were very friendly and the pool was lovely.
Disliked: Such a shame, this site is crying out for some investment. The showers mostly didn’t have any hot water except the older style three at the front. The water was absolutely scalding hot, one I couldn’t even stand under and I think could injure someone (child) if used. The shower and toilet block needs a major overhaul. The gates are locked around 730/8pm at night so you cannot go out for an evening meal. Most disappointed that the restaurant is no longer open, we booked partly because of this so no onsite food provision and you have to drive a few miles to get anything. The pool was very nice, not as clean as maybe it should be and the furniture very dated and a bit ropey. There was an old tennis court next to the pool but it has been left to ruin which again is such a shame. There was no wifi provided at all but I think advertised as such? Really disappointed as it could be an amazing site and it is not cheap at all, we paid almost 90 euros for two nights. I really hope some investment is made and then we would love to return.

Disliked: Rude lady at reception , Toilets and shower block were filthy we didn’t bother with the shower we booked 5 nights here in advance and left after two , The pictures must have been taken over 10 years ago , My daughter said we got “Catfished” it is hugely overpriced and best avoided

Liked: So we’ve stayed here before for a week but we picked it this time because we knew it & liked it and it was ideally placed to split up our journey to Calais and then home! Tent was thrown up - went for a swim in the pool - had dinner then went for a walk around it’s grounds which are fantastic!

Liked: Some of the reviews are a bit unfair.. it’s a fantastic location just off the auto route..very quiet site with large pitches and plenty of shade.. yes the toilet facilities are a bit French farm house rustic and could do with some repair but they are okay..
Disliked: Unfortunately due to staff shortages the bar and restaurant were closed

Liked: Chateau Leychoisier has an idyllic setting and friendly hosts. We loved the walk and space around the chateau itself which looks to have landed from a fairytale. The Motorhome pitches are also conveniently shaded and quite private and the hook up worked well.
Sadly like so many other places, the on-site restaurant is now closed but drinks were available. The proprietor also took our order for croissants (bread and other pastries also available each morning). We were planning to visit Limoges the next day and though completely rural, the site is but a short drive from the city.
Disliked: Again, like so many private sites at the moment, the place could do with a bit of fresh paint and also general updating and maintenance of the rather tired shower toilet block. Some of the showers were in fact scalding. If time had permitted and our French was good enough we would have brought this to the manager’s attention but others did Imsuspaect.
