Liked: Scenery was beautiful, facilities were basic but good and lots to do on site with walks around the lake and bike hire. Nice to have the shop, activities and cafe, although we didn't use them. Good location in the forest and great play park.
Disliked: Most of the Lake tent pitches were not level, the field is sloped downhill to the lake so we rolled off airbeds... It says 3m gap between pitches but we were put next to a caravan (when the site was only about 25% full) and there was less than 2m. It would be too crowded for us when full and we will ask for space next time.
Activities a bit pricey.

Primitive forest floor tent campsite (forest, pet friendly)
Liked: The site is amazing. We stayed at the forest bit and it is very tranquil. There is a playground in the middle and a big fire pit. Facilities are good. Our friends stayed in the ‘lake’ site and we’ve spent a lot of time there too. The grounds are very spacious for kids run around and they have a huuuuge bonfire every night - highlight for kids chucking branches into it and roasting marshmallows. Both sites are equally beautiful but with different characters. Activities are on site, so you just jump in and out. My youngest was crying when we left the camp, first time missing camping:)
