  • Peaceful park at a marina in the centre of the Cheshire canal network
  • Set in over 100 acres of countryside 10 minutes' drive from Nantwich
  • Café and picnic areas; access to walks along the towpath
Peaceful and scenic, Aqueduct Marina and Caravan Park is a prime destination for anyone who adores the countryside. Based on the Middlewich Branch of the Shropshire Union Canal in Church Minshull, the Cheshire park also has a great set of marina facilities. It's set in 100 acres, so guests can watch the wildlife or take a walk along the towpath. Afterwards, you might fancy a visit to the marina’s licensed café and picnic areas to unwind or rest your feet. If you fancy getting out on the water too, boat hire is available on site. Families, couples, small groups and dogs are all welcome on the site. For activities outside of the park, there are many shops, cafés and pubs in the market town Nantwich, which is a five-mile drive away. There’s also easy access to the M6 and the B5074 in Church Minshull. The amenities at Aqueduct Marina and Caravan Park are nice and convenient too: they include well-maintained bathroom facilities with toilets, showers and sinks, as well as accessible features for guests with mobility challenges. The site also has 24-hour laundry facilities.

Quiet, large pitches, loads of room to play games with the kids, really clean brand new toilet and shower blocks, marina fascinated the kids, live music added a great atmosphere on a Saturday evening and food from the cafe for lunch was lovely. FHU gravel travel trailer campsite (premium)

Liked: Good sized, fully serviced pitches in a well laid out mixed site. New shower facilities opened during our stay look excellent. Cafe and marina on site.

Disliked: Our pitch was the other side of the hedge to the access road and by the barrier and footpath to reception. Some people persistently walked across our pitch and it could be a little noisy with traffic at times - not enough to really disturb our stay.

From the manager: Thank you for your detailed feedback! We're glad you enjoyed the new facilities, cafe, and serviced pitches. Sorry to hear about the foot traffic and occasional noise—your comments are helpful, and we’ll keep them in mind for future improvements.

Powered gravel travel trailer campsite

Liked: The surroundings of the countryside is lovely. Pretty marina with lots of narrow boats. Very friendly people who worked at the marina/caravan park. Good modern facilities i.e. nice free showers with dispensers of shampoo & conditioner. Free hairdryer (although a very weak one).
Easy access to walk along the canal.
The owners are clearly upgrading all the time - there were new toilet & showers being installed near the caravan & camping area.
Our friends had coffee on one morning from the nice cafe (£10 for 2).
The pitch we stayed on with EHU was £40 per night (2 adults). June 2025.

Disliked: There is nothing to dislike about the site, although the most expensive one we’ve ever pitched up on.
If you like walking though you need to be aware that once you leave the canal pathway, the roads are fast B roads, even though their names are “lanes”.
There is a lovely pub The Badger Inn, about 2 mile walk that was safe to walk to along the canal - make sure you come back the same way because the road is busy. The pub served very nice food.

Local attractions

Aqueduct Marina and Caravan Park's Cheshire location and easy access from the M6 means it's in a most handy spot to get to heaps of tourist attractions around this part of the north west and Chester. A popular option in the area is Oulton Park, the racing track in the little village of Budworth that bills itself as the most picturesque track in all the land, or you could hike around the wilds of nearby Delamere Forest, or stick to lazy days and potter around small Cheshire villages like Tattenhall and Tarporley. Chester is also easily accessible from the caravan park and has heaps to see among its old streets and swish shops. Animal fans make their way to Chester Zoo on the outskirts of the city to see as many as possible of its 12,000+ animals and over 400 species; if nature is your animalish thing, also get along to the Blue Planet Aquarium and its 100 or so living displays including the biggest school of sharks in Europe. Green fingered? Clear the car boot and drive over to Bridgemere, one of the biggest garden centres in the world and with all things gardenlike as well as toys and clothes in its mammoth shopping centre.
