Peaceful and scenic, Aqueduct Marina and Caravan Park is a prime destination for anyone who adores the countryside. Based on the Middlewich Branch of the Shropshire Union Canal in Church Minshull, the Cheshire park also has a great set of marina facilities. Visit the award-winning marina’s licensed café and picnic areas to unwind. Set on a 100-acre plot, guests can also watch the wildlife or take a walk along the towpath. There are also showers and 24-hour laundry facilities. For activities outside of the park, there are many shops, cafés and pubs in the market town Nantwich, which is a five-mile drive away. There’s also easy access to the M6 and the B5074 in Church Minshull. Families, couples, small groups and dogs are all welcome at the site.

Liked The new shower and toilet block was a welcomed addition to the site from our previous stays there it’s a lovely peaceful site with the added bonus of a lovely walk along the canal and marina will definitely returning again

Powered gravel caravan site

Liked Large open pitches (we were on no 2) no crowding 7 plenty of space along with the cafe & views over the boatyard being a "pull" factor for us!

Disliked Maybe change departure time to 12.00 & arrival from 2pm, but not critical

Liked Nice spacious field for camping , new looking toilet/shower facility. Lovely cafe at the marina.

Disliked Would like a shop that sold ice (it was a very warm weekend). Showers could do with a squeegee to be used to dry up water after showers. They got very wet combined with mud brought in by shoes made the showers look unclean / unsanitary. No playground for the children to play on .

Liked Really great setting, great cafe / bistro fantastic walks

Disliked Toilet with combined showers were a little off putting. More often than not a layer of sandy water from people showering and others walking dirt and dust in whilst visiting the toilets. Would be better a separate shower block in my opinion.

Liked Lovely big campsite, lots of pitches to chose from and quiet. Cafe was wonderful.

Disliked Shower and toilet facilities inadequate for the amount of people on site and consistently had water and loo roll on the floor and appeared to only be cleaned once a day

Local attractions

Aqueduct Marina and Caravan Park's Cheshire location and easy access from the M6 means it's in a most handy spot to get to heaps of tourist attractions around this part of the north west and Chester. A popular option in the area is Oulton Park, the racing track in the little village of Budworth that bills itself as the most picturesque track in all the land, or you could hike around the wilds of nearby Delamere Forest, or stick to lazy days and potter around small Cheshire villages like Tattenhall and Tarporley. Chester is also easily accessible from the caravan park and has heaps to see among its old streets and swish shops. Animal fans make their way to Chester Zoo on the outskirts of the city to see as many as possible of its 12,000+ animals and over 400 species; if nature is your animalish thing, also get along to the Blue Planet Aquarium and its 100 or so living displays including the biggest school of sharks in Europe. Green fingered? Clear the car boot and drive over to Bridgemere, one of the biggest garden centres in the world and with all things gardenlike as well as toys and clothes in its mammoth shopping centre.
