What customers say
Great, friendly spot with big pitches & top-notch, clean facilities (heated showers!). Good on-site cafe, rural views, handy for local spots. A few noted occasional busy facilities & outside noise.

Nice campsite but be prepared to drive
Unpowered grass site
Liked Clean site, cafe was convenient, friendly guests, lots to do nearby
Disliked Not the campsites fault but local pub wasn't friendly, local shop was closed, chippy is only open at weekends so we did have to drive out to get food.

From the manager: Thanks for the feedback about “us” but what’s around the site / locally is beyond our control.
Leaving a relatively low score because of this is a little unfair as it reduces our overall ratings

This site is a cracking place for all campers
Powered grass site
Liked Everything! Great open pitches with lots of space, water taps as easy to reach as the electricity and the best shower & toilet block. The only place we went to where it was easy to get hot water to wash up too. Views are amazing, especially at night where the sky was full of stars. My grandson lay on the grass looking up for ages & his only issue was that he forgot his telescope! Play area for the kids, grassed area to walk the dogs, easy walk into the village which has a fab butchers (pub too but we went in the morning). Site also has a lovely cafe and the owner is a real gent. Staff are polite & helpful. Great site

Tiny house microlodge
Liked A relaxed atmosphere at the site. We stayed at the Tiny House, a great little place to visit for a short break. Excellent facilities & lovely location to access local village & travel further afield to Ripon & surrounding areas.

Bus 3 bedroom static caravan (no pets)
Liked Wow what a friendly well kept and brilliantly run camp site.. we have been touring for the past few weeks and this place was amazing. Met by a friendly gentleman who showed us to our bus!! It was amazing… fully equipped, comfortable and such a fun experience. 4 adults and a 9yr and so much space to do everything needed. Bonus of a wood hot tub! Lovely bonus

Great site, Lovely staff and clean facilities
Powered grass site
Liked Very friendly staff, we had a lovely warm welcome and was able to choose where we pitched. Where we wanted to pitch tucked under the trees away from everyone didn't have electric so the guy lent us an extension lead which allowed us to pitch there. Very accommodating! The cafe was great very reasonably priced and tasted good too. We visited 5 years ago and the place has changed alot! The 'bathroom' cubicle in the toilet block is great loo, sink and shower and chair in one cubicle, everyonec seemed to want this one in a morning. Cleaned morning and night. No complaints on cleanliness We asked for a late checkout expecting to be charged but was told it was fine and we stayed till 1.30pm which was great as checkout is 1030 and I find that really early. We like to take our time to decamp. Kitchen area great little touch too we used the microwave a couple of times to heat things up. I think it's fab that you can hire hot tubs we did this on our first stay here 5 years ago but unfortunately they were all booked up this time.
Disliked The only real issue with this site is the entrance it needs looking at it's abit of an incline but the condition of the road isn't great. I don't know how caravans managed to get up and down it as I dreaded it in my little ford focus! Water pressure dropped in the bathrooms on busier days but that can't really be helped and the locks in the bathrooms aren't the best either. The toilet on the right there's a gap you can see in once the doors locked. My daughter actually got stuck in this cubicle as the door jammed and a lady had to help her out as I was in the shower. Also the only cold water is in the bathroom cubicle, not great brushing teeth with hot water! Most of the time the bathroom doors are left open and you can see right in to the men's urinals maybe a privacy screen could be put in place as I don't want my young children to be seeing men doing their business (also overheard a man talking about this around the fire so its not just me that thinks this)
