Plush Ord House Country Park is set on 42 peaceful, tree-lined acres of private parkland at East Ord, within 10 minutes’ drive of gorgeous Northumberland countryside, historic Berwick-upon-Tweed and sandy Spittal Beach on the North Sea. It’s also easy to access for anyone travelling north or south, as the main A1 is just five minutes away. A whole bunch of facilities at this leafy, landscaped site will make life very easy for you indeed. Travelling with the kids? If your toddlers have energy to burn off, there’s a soft-play centre where they can have a run around, while older kids can keep busy on the playground, activity area and games field. If you’re after a bit of grown-up downtime, simply drift off to the elegant adults-only lounge bar for some peaceful R&R; otherwise head to the family-friendly main bar or book the informal Ord House Lounge Bar and Grill, where there’s a designated kids’ zone. Prettily landscaped pitches are all neatly delineated by clipped hedges. Practical on-site amenities include a laundry service with coin-operated washing machines and dryers, a dish-washing and veg-prep area, and pristine tiled showers in spacious family bathrooms with hair dryers and shaving points.

Tents are not accepted at this park.
A cable measuring at least 4 metres is needed for the electric hook-ups.

Fires, barbecues and/or firepits will not be permitted in dry, windy and/or hot weather conditions.

Beautiful country house. the adult only bar!

Family bar and soft play at back. there is also an adults only bar.

1 /2 private family bathrooms next door to men’s facilities . enter then each door can be locked

Private family bathroom shower bath sink toilet directly next door to this room .

If you want a peaceful site within nature do not choose this site

Liked: It is difficult to find anything we liked except the wash room facilities

Disliked: We were crammed into spaces like sardines amongst a sea of static caravans. The images on the site are very misleading and do not portray the motorhome site and its location within the wider site accurately. Had we seen on the images the amount of static caravans and the proximity of the pub we would never have booked. We will not be returning. With busy working lives, we go away for peace, quiet and solitude. This is not the site to find any of those things sadly.

Liked: Showers and toilets. Would suit self sufficient tourers with children really well.

Disliked: Sloping pitch. Unable to put up utility tent which we use as storage when off site. We asked first and was told no but observed that others had tents on there pitches. Didn’t make sense as it was a large pitch and a small utility would not have intruded. Also restaurant had no dog friendly area and no where to even sit outside with dog. Didn’t expect the extra charge for WiFi

Liked: Absolutely fantastic site with a toilet/shower block better than at home! The adult only bar was incredible with 3 chandeliers. Just beautiful.
Staff were all lovely and approachable.
Easy walk to Berwick to walk the town walls which was fabulous.

Disliked: Nothing at all.

Liked: Immaculately maintained grounds. Toilets and showers which wouldn’t look out of place in a high standard hotel. Friendly staff who went above and beyond for their guests. Bingo was on Fri night and I didn’t have cash, only a card, but a member of staff, Moira, insisted she paid for my £10 tickets if I would hand the money in at reception next day, which I did, including chocs for my appreciation. Moira had never met me before yet trusted me to repay her. Lovely touches like this makes Ord House even more special than it already is. We had the best weekend spent here. Thanks again Moira😀

Liked: Excellent site , well layed out , spacious pitches , club house with entertainment, play area for kids , superb toilets and showers + 2 X family bathrooms with baths.

Disliked: Not really the sites fault but the ground was very hard under the gravel , made it difficult to secure the awning down

Liked: From the start of our stay the lady behind reception was fantastic very welcoming. All staff round the park were very friendly. The facilities were excellent very clean warm with a added touch of a radio ..park was spotless with a good dog walk ..excellent location

Liked: Lovely feel about the place. Well kept, good layout, generally quiet, facilities.

Disliked: We were unfortunate to have some noisy kids at the play area later into the evening and suggested 'closing time' wasnt adhered to, or effectively managed.

Liked: Beautifully kept grounds
Good facilities, bar, soft play, playground, dog walk, immaculate toilet/shower block

Disliked: If you've young kids and/or you yourself are an early to bed type of person, please be aware you can hear the entertainment from your pitch until 11pm on a Saturday night.
Kids have a tendency to hang around the children's playground being rather rowdy until 11pm even though the park closes at 9pm. Ring the night warden to move them on if required.

Mighty Bamburgh Castle (25 minutes’ drive) is open for guided tours, while Alnwick Castle (35 minutes) is famed for its exotic Poison Garden and Harry Potter film locations. You can nip across the causeway to Holy Island (25 minutes) and tour the castle and cathedral, or stretch your legs on a wander around the 16th-century walls of Berwick-upon-Tweed (five minutes). Sneak across the border into Scotland to potter around rooms stuffed with priceless Chippendale furniture at Palladian-era Paxton House (10 minutes), or make for Marchmont House to wander its wondrous gardens (half an hour). Spectacular Floors Castle (40 minutes) has a series of opulent apartments to discover, along with a walled garden and scenic walks along the River Tweed. Experiencing cultural overload? Sail forth onto the North Sea for dolphin-spotting expeditions or Farne Islands cruises to see puffins and seals from Seahouses (35 minutes). Happier on dry land? Stride out in Northumberland National Park (25 minutes), or play a round of golf – there are a couple of courses in less than 10 minutes’ drive.
