Liked The warm welcome, friendly and helpful reception. The indoor washing up room. The location ie the beautiful surrounding countryside and vast landscape with so many interesting places to visit and explore.

Disliked The shortage of toilet and shower facilities in relation to number of tent, camper and caravan pitches. The lack of enforcement of site rules to ensure facilities can be enjoyed by all eg although there were coded locks on all facility doors these were not in operation because doors were not self closing and left open resulting in young children using facilities without adult supervision. Shower cubicles had only a curtain to retain water within shower tray - I personally found it possible to confine the water within the confines of the shower tray by keeping the curtain within the tray but obviously others are not so able because the floor or the shower area (and sometimes well beyond into the toilet cubicles) was flooded with dirty water. Due to the door of the facilities being left open after dark, insects were attracted to the light and the toilets and sinks were often coated in these dead insects. Despite the facilities being cleaned twice a day (more often than at most other sites) this exercise is ineffective as long as the coded locks aren’t working, site rules are not enforced and campers are at liberty to abuse the facilities.

We are very sorry to hear about your experience with the toilet and shower facilities. We understand your concerns and want to assure you that the rules are given to all guests.. However, as a small park, we do not have a full-time attendant at the amenities block to ensure that children are always supervised. Going forward, we will be issuing a list of rules to all guests upon arrival as well to help ensure everyone understands and follows them. We will look into the issues you mentioned with the door codes and the shower curtains to see what improvements can be made. Your comments about the cleanliness and the use of the facilities by other guests are very helpful, and we will redouble our efforts to ensure a pleasant experience for everyone.

Disliked Would have been better if the family showers were separate to the male/female so that mum and dad could both enter. We have a baby and the shower routine was challenging. Although loved that there was a baby change in the men’s.

Felt the toilet block could have been cleaned more. It said twice per day but not sure this was the case during our stay.

Liked Good toilet and pot washing facilities although maybe not enough. Flat pitch with plenty of room for me with a small tent. Some though with large tents looked a bit close together. Handy for shops etc.

Disliked Rubbish bins need emptying daily especially in hot weather and wasp season. Several were overfill and lids not closing.

Liked Loved the fact that the tent pitches were laid out with designated parking and tent space.
Nothing worse than going out for the day and coming back to someone parked in your spot!

Disliked Toilets were not checked frequently enough.
The same spots of rubbish/hair in the drain/ dirt that was there at 4pm where still there at 9 the next morning.
Nappy bin full of beer cans.

Disliked Toilets and showers was in a good need of a clean and up dating. Could do with some more showers. Glad i was only staying for 2 nights so i could wait till i got home for a good showers.do with a pud on site
