What customers say
This well-maintained site is praised for its ideal location, perfect for exploring Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay via foot, cycle paths, or nearby bus routes. Visitors highlight spacious and level pitches, clean facilities, and exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. The on-site cafe/bar and proximity to local pubs are also popular. Some guests noted pitches could be small and the electricity payment system incurs extra cost.

nice and clean showers .
Friendly staff.
Great location and a 5 minutes walk to bus routes to Whitby Scarborough and Robin hoods bay.
Been before and will return.
Disliked The metered electric can make the stay a bit expensive in the winter months on top of a reasonable site fee and a little off putting.

Electric optional gravel and hardstanding motorhome pitch
Liked A lovely warm welcome from the owners who were very happy to help.
A big site that is well looked after and lots of walking paths. A big field for dogs to enjoy. We ate in the pub restaurant and the food was so nice and very good value.
Would definitely stay again.
Disliked The showers are a problem with the water stopping every few seconds and having to keep pushing the button for more water.
It's a shame that the children had to leave the pub at 9pm considering its a family friendly site there is nowhere else for children to go after 9pm

An ideal site if you are not looking for anything great
Electric optional gravel and hardstanding motorhome pitch
Liked Pitches weren’t great and the drive after the office is not at all appealing
That said? We enjoyed the position of this site for getting around what we wanted to see
The toilet block is very dated but it was clean and functional
Disliked The out he’s are not great. We had our Motorhome and had to ask for a new pitch. While it was a better area for us, the levelling was awful

Not the best aite
Electric optional gravel and hardstanding motorhome pitch
Liked Close to Whitby
Disliked Arrived at 7.30 ( can arrive up to 9pm) - reception closed and sign said to go to bar - bar all closed up . Called number no answer. Rang doorbell for a few mins no response. Called number again and was told someone will meet us in bar . Given directions to pitches . Paid a couple of quid for electric . Got to pitch and someone else in campervan already set up for night in it so we picked another pitch that was free and told reception who wasn’t too bothered!! Toilets very basic and remind me of school changing rooms - had a big puddle of water in middle of toilet block all night . Fresh water tap was outside our pitch and is very low to ground that we witnessed someone walking there dog and letting it piss up the tap !!!!! (Dog owners fault but still not nice !!)

Overall we had a lovely time and would definitely book again
Electric optional gravel touring pitch
Liked We loved the location, walking distance to the cinder trail. Pitches were decent size and we had enough privacy. The bar was lovely.
Disliked The toilet/shower block was disappointing. Ladies shower trough overflowing, general cleanliness was poor. Showers and taps not working properly. Probably needs freshening up.

Electric optional gravel and hardstanding motorhome pitch
Liked Spacious pitches, excellent facilities. Friendly welcome and helpful lady at front desk.
Disliked The way some people treated the facilities and left them dirty and grubby just after they had been cleaned. Wifi poor away from club house which isn’t hugely important. Lub house closed early the Sunday night as they ran out of pump/drafts lagers etc. not good planning on a BH weekend

Lovely little site in a great location
York house family camping pod
Liked Location, space for kids to play, free electric in pods, pods were lovely and well insulated, availability of parking good, lady at reception lovely, location great for exploring the coast (we did Whitby, Scarborough, Flamborough)
Disliked Shower area could do with being cleaned more than once a day as gets messy with families using it. Didn’t look like they recycled.
