It’s all about unwinding and recharging your batteries among stunning scenery at Camping Onlycamp des Adoubes – this well-maintained and nicely landscaped Savoie campsite is surrounded by spectacular views of the Alps, and pitches have plenty of space from which to soak up all the mountain views. This family-friendly site is on the edge of Albertville, which guests of a certain age will remember as the host city for the 1992 Winter Olympics. That past accolade gives you a hint that this is an area full of outdoor activities – canyoning, caving and watersports can all be on the schedule here, as well as hikes and bike rides for all ages. When you’re not out and about, you can play games of pétanque or table tennis on site, challenge yourself to a workout on the fitness trail… or just chill out at your pitch while the kids hit the play area. There’s a small grocery store on site to help keep everyone fed and watered – and of course the shops, supermarkets and restaurants of central Albertville are handily a few minutes’ drive away too. Pitches at Camping Onlycamp des Adoubes are spacious, partly shaded by trees and easily accessed via a hardstanding track. Practical amenities to make family camping life a breeze include hot showers, a baby room and washing-up sinks, along with facilities for mobility-impaired guests. If you need any advice or tips on the area, you can just ask at reception.

喜欢: We arrived quite late and not as described, there are two main roads running either side of the site and a footpath as well, very noisy. The facilities were clean though and good value for money.

喜欢: We stayed here as a stopover point. Campsite is well maintained and staff are friendly. Facilities were clean and pitches were a good size. The mediaeval town at the top of the hill was pretty but Albertville didn’t have much to offer!

喜欢: Clean, friendly, laid back, quiet, not full to capacity.
Walking distance to old town quarter which was very good. Walking distance to town. Bars shopping etc.

喜欢: Das Personal war sehr freundlich und die Unterkunft war sauber.

不喜欢: Das einzige was etwas gestört hat, war die Straße neben dem Campingplatz auf der bis in die Nacht hinein und sehr früh morgens noch Autos und Motorräder gefahren sind. Mit guten Ohrenstöpsel lässt sich das aber regeln.

喜欢: The position is excellent - a quick walk into Dienville and right by a beautiful river.
The campsite itself is beautiful - lovely views of the surrounding mountains.
The campsite was quiet and peaceful.
It had a washing machine.

不喜欢: Small shower cubicles.
Only access to water was by shower block - would have been useful to have further access at other end of the campsite.

喜欢: It was very clean and with lots of facilities: Table tennis, calisthenic park, cleaning station for dogs, for your feet, and "big equipment"(like surf boards).

The location is 10 min walk from the beach.

The staff is very very friendly.

不喜欢: Lots of mosquitoes in August due to a close-by field, but with a burning spiral for the outside time it was very good.

Ready for a bit of adventure? Be brave and leap into a canyoning outing at Canyon des Cascades de Tailles (15 minutes’ drive) or head to Grotte et Cascade de Seythenex (half an hour) to zipline across a 45-metre waterfall and take a tour of the underground caverns. WAM Park (15 minutes) has lots of exciting activities too, including a wake park, a tree-climbing course, an inflatable aqua park and paddleboarding. All sound a little exhausting? Perhaps instead you’d like to take a stroll through the narrow streets of the medieval town of Conflans (five minutes) or see some of the spectacular mountain scenery from above as you ride in the Aiguille du Midi cable car (about an hour). One of the landscape highlights of the area is surely Lake Annecy (half an hour), where you can walk or bike along the lakeside trail, take a dip in the clear waters from a beach area or find historic sights like Château de Duingt (35 minutes).
