Seeking a spot between mountains and sea? Hoping for stylish beaches and ancient villages, a dash of art and top nosh, with maybe some walks and shopping thrown in? You must want Camping La Camassade, a fabulous spot in France's Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, 10 minutes’ drive from the town of Tourrettes-sur-Loup. A lot of care has gone into this site, which stands among century-old olive groves and oak trees. The plants give the place colour and scent, attracting insects and birds so you never feel as if you’ve left the Provençal countryside behind. Despite being rooted in its surroundings, this is a comfortable and well-maintained site: the washrooms are bright and spacious, and heated in the winter; there’s a swimming pool and paddling pool to cool off in at the end of a long day, and table football and table tennis are to hand for those with a competitive streak. You won’t go short of supplies thanks to the on-site shop and daily deliveries of fresh bread in the summer. It’s a half-hour hike or a 10-minute drive to Tourrettes-sur-Loup, where there are numerous restaurants, bars and bakeries, as well as small supermarkets.

喜欢 Really nice pool area and shower facilities, nice and modern.
Lovely couple on the site who were very welcoming..

不喜欢 The electric kept tripping, we were unable to have our tea using the air fryer as they said it was too powerful so we had to eat in the restaurant.
Food was okay, I ordered fish and chips it was 3 fish goujons and french fries.

The location of the campsite is up some very windy roads, there wasn't anything nearby we could go to we stayed one night and left early in the morning..

喜欢 Die Lage ist perfekt. Sehr schöner Stellplatz und v.a. sehr freundliche "Gastgeber". Auch die sanitären Anlagen waren prima (sauber und zahlreich) und der Pool hat den feinen Aufenthalt abgerundet. Alles in allen: sehr gut.

喜欢 We had an excellent stay at the site, the owners are lovely, very friendly and there is a very warm family feel to this site. The pool was fantastic. The shower block very modern and showers were excellent.
We used the site as our base whilst exploring the coast.

喜欢 Ce camping familiale est très agréable avec un accueil extrêmement chaleureux. Les sanitaires sont toujours impeccables. Et les emplacements sont très grands. Rien à redire, ce petit camping est parfait!

喜欢 The site offers large pitches which afford some privacy. The washrooms are superb. Nicely fitted out and offering toilet paper and soap There is a laundry room with 3 washing machines. The swimming pool is quite large with tables chairs and sunbeds around. Reception was very friendly and there is a shop offering basic provisions. A great experience

喜欢 Ein ruhiger Campingplatz mit moderner Sanitäranlage. Die Stellplätze sind groß.

不喜欢 Der Wasserdruck im Sanitärbereich und den Wassersäulen ist sehr, sehr schwach.
Es gibt keine Möglichkeit zur Grauwasserentsorgung.
Wir haben über pitchup.com viel schönere und günstigere Plätze auf unserer Reise besucht.

Look north to the Alpine foothills and south to the Mediterranean coast and you’ll have a pretty good idea of what's on offer round here. If it’s walks you want, there are easy but rewarding trails around the two waterfalls of Saut de Loup and Courmes, both about 15 minutes' drive away. If you prefer something more strenuous, paths outside Courmes snake 3,000 feet up to the Pic de Courmes for fab views across the whole region, and a celebrated via ferrata climbing route is at Caille, 50 minutes away. For seaside stuff, it’s half an hour to Cagnes-sur-Mer, and an hour to Nice and Antibes. Along with their upmarket beaches, these towns have a fine spread of museums and galleries as well as markets for wandering and present-buying. On the way to or from Antibes, you might also benefit from a stopoff at the complex of family-friendly attractions: sea lion and dolphin shows at Marineland, slides and chutes and flumes at Aquasplash and fairground rides at Antibesland, all about 50 minutes from the site, ensure every member of the party has something to smile about. To see more of inner Provence, and smell it, get over to Grasse (half an hour) for the perfume museum, perfume shops and legendary lavender fields nearby. If you need more souvenirs of your stay, the pretty villages of Biot and Vallauris are famed for their glass and pottery respectively; both are within 50 minutes.
