Camping du Nizour

喜欢 Pleasant wooded site with spacious pitches. Warm welcome. Brilliant location for cycling the Flow Velo route along the Charante river.
Shower block was very clean.

不喜欢 Site looks a tired in places. Rubbish outside the shower block and work in progress that’s not been finished.

Les personne qui nous a accueilli à été très compréhensive concernant notre petit retard à l’arrivée suite à des soucis sur le trajet

不喜欢 Les sanitaires sont en cours de réfection
Il n’y a pas du tout de réseau hors wifi

喜欢 The receptionist was very polite and spoke very good english yo my rubbish french.
The pitches were under trees which I really liked
The showers/toilets were nice and quite a few of them. Kids said pool was nice.
The surrounding area is lovely. It’s next to a river and a short walk into town.

不喜欢 Wouldn’t say disliked but it looks a bit run down in places. There’s a lot of overgrown weeds and junk about. The bar although open wasn’t very appealing and the on-site shop didn’t have much in it.
The taps on the pitches don’t work so you have to go find the main tap.
I think maybe they are in the process of doing it up so hopefully next visit it should have improved.

喜欢 The seclusion!
Given the time of year there was only one other van on the pitches. The pitches are in woodland close to the Charente. Most of the facilities ( shop, bar, pool etc) were not open or were in the process of being renovated. This was the case for the showers and toilets but they were clean and spacious and I wish the owners well in their development plans.
