Get some downtime in the historic outback town of Barcaldine at Barcaldine Caravan Park. This dog- and family-friendly Queensland site is just 15 minutes’ walk away from the Barcaldine and District Historical Museum and within 15 minutes’ walk of grocery shops and restaurants too.
On site, prepare yourself a tasty meal in the fully equipped camp kitchen. During high season, the site arranges camp oven dinners with damper and billy tea. Other handy facilities include a shower and toilet block with disabled facilities.
Barcaldine Caravan Park is five minutes’ drive away from the town’s golf course, gym and racecourse. It’s also within walking distance of The Tree Of Knowledge, a famed tree thought to be the birthplace of Australia’s labour movement. The Lara Station Wetlands are half an hour’s drive away and popular for birdwatching.
