Seven Acres Camping Site

喜欢 Quiet site with good facilities, and great for stargazing.

In a great location, close to Longleat with Frome and Warminster both easily accessible to get any essentials that may be needed during the stay (Frome has at least 2 supermarkets and a retail park with other shops such as The Range, Warminster has at least one supermarket and a lovely garden shop which sells firewood).

The climbing frame was very much enjoyed by my daughter, as was the stream (she decided to sit in it on the first evening, getting herself soaked 🤣). The gate to enter the site was different but made it very private, the camping field being car free was great.

The quiet times were followed so it was nice not being woken at first light by someone outside excited and wanting to play, and getting the kids settled was fairly easy too 🥰.

不喜欢 Never saw the site owners, if I did they never introduced themselves to me. Although we had our own trolley to transport stuff, some of the carts provided by the site have seen better days, practically fell apart when we did use them.

喜欢 Flat tarmacked level pitches. Lots of shaded areas under we'll established trees.toilets and showers adequate.

喜欢 The campsite was great: lovely big pitch, hard standing with a grassy area in a beautiful, wooded setting. Small stream nearby and overall relatively quiet and peaceful; despite there being a road nearby. Close enough to explore Frome which is a short drive away.

不喜欢 There were only shower cubicles, no changing area; i.e no privacy unless you can get into the 1 unisex shower/toilet combo. No shelves to put your clothes/toiletries on. Only 2 sink washbasins in the ladies and people were washing their clothes in them and therefore using both sinks at the same time. There were women going to the entrance to the men's toilets where their washbasins are outside; and doing their washing-up there. In the men's toilets, only 1 urinal and 1 cubical. The toilet block is really inadequate for the whole campsite: including campervans and for the tent camping field. The showers are just flooding the floors as the curtains are hung too high - an easy fix. I appreciate that the site is under new ownership and its a work in progress and we wish you well with your project. We'd like to return next year to see how it is all going as it is a lovely site, only marred by the lack of toilet facilities.

喜欢 Quiet, peacefully, central to places to visit by car or campervan. Helpfull staff.

不喜欢 Plumbing got blocked up on our 2nd day but staff had resolved within a few hours

喜欢 Easy self check in, very clean facilities, plenty of space for camping. Nice little play area. Trolleys/wheelbarrows provided for transferring from car to camping field. Only 12 mins drive to Longleat safari park. Also used it as a base to visit Fleet Air Arm (30mins).

不喜欢 Not many shady options in the camping field, but quiet enough to find somewhere with a bit anyway.

喜欢 Lovely site, we stayed for one night while visiting a friend. Toilets/showers clean, two showers didn’t seem to be used maybe just having frosted glass. Little play area in the tent field the children seemed to be having a lot of fun.
