喜欢: Despite the other reviews, I found the toilets and shower block clean and there was always tp available, but maybe because it was already the end of the holiday period. Nice simple pitch area for a tent, was great for 2 nights. Simple check in process via phone.

不喜欢: As others mentioned, the road noise is relatively loud. There was NO WiFi on site at all, staff said it is being installed so may be available in the future.

不喜欢: This campsite has won the award for both the most expensive and worst campsite I have ever stayed in. To be fair, I mostly like fields but was going to an event nearby so thought I'd try it. When I got there at lunchtime I was directed to an area that felt like a disused carpark with loads of litter, broken children's toys etc. Went to the loo, there was poo or something brown smeared on one door. When I came back after the event, the toilet block was partially flooded from a shower, now one toilet had poo on the seat, the second still had poo on the door, (I took a wet wipe and it would have easily been cleaned off) and the third had poo left in the loo which was at least flushable. They said it would be £36 which was more than enough but actually charged £39 with no explanation for the extra and they want you to get out by 10am. I always love camping and find the joy in each site apart from this one I'm sorry to say

喜欢: The choice to pick where you want to pitch up is good, as long as they tell you the white boxes are the ones you need! nice looking site, small play park for the kids. In a remote place if that's what you want..

不喜欢: The toilets had no toilet roll in, the bins were overflowing and it was not stated what pitches we should stay on due to me paying for electric, it should have been made clear when calling to check in, would be avoided if there was someone on site to help. You had to find your own way round and facilities.

不喜欢: Overcrowded - not enough EHUs for everyone had to split and share with someone else Toilets were disgusting Elsan point blocked Noisy neighbours - someone was running there van with headlights on full straight into the tent at 1am. At half 4 in the morning a group of men were up listening to music and talking very loudly, I was made to believe that he lived there but not sure. Also another man was having a very loud video call outside his static at 5:30am! Then the two groups started squaring up to each other at 6am right outside the tent. No point in alerting staff as nothing they could have done. Packed up and left a day early instead.

喜欢: This was a experience I was dreading after reading the reviews. When we first got their the reception was closed, but their was clear indication on the door of reception. giving 2 phone numbers to assist you. The lady on the phone answered every time we called and we’re there to help with any queries we had. I found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. When you arrive you get to pick your own pitch, we arrived extremely late but managed to find a pitch by the river. We were unsure if their was a pool onsite as this isn’t clear when looking at the read ups online, I can confirm their is no pool. But their is a park for the smaller children and plenty of room for them to play. I believe this to be a mixed site of holiday makers, permanent residents along with a traveller community living their for part of the year. Their are 2 separate blocks on site. Please note: one is residential closest to the top end of site and the other found at the bottom end of the site is for the holiday makers. The toilets were regular topped up with toilet role, the toilets weren’t the cleanest and I didn’t see a cleaner their until our last day, but that was because she was having a well deserved 2 day holiday, who returned to carnage bless. She was lovely lady straight back at it. I found this site to be no where near as bad as the reviews were making this place out to be, They do need to give more information regarding no pool etc but other than that it has everything you needed their was a Pros: small shop on site. Plenty of room for the children to play. River. 10mins drive to Asda 30mins drive from Torquay Unlimited pitch up space. Relaxed management- we found all different ages and groups having fun and singing and playing music, I found that everything die down around midnight. We were a family of young and older children and this site had everything you needed to enjoy your stay, The only cons would be that they had cover when the cleaner was off, as only the basic clean was taking place whilst we were stopping hear.

喜欢: The location is lovely.

不喜欢: When we arrived it wasn't the best welcoming. There wasn't much space left to choose where to pitch up and there was still more people arriving to pitch to. Someone has pooed all over the women's toilets on the floor and was there for hours. No toilet roll or hand drying towels and the hand dryer didn't work. We ended up finding a small bit of land next to what looked like a old muck heep. It's a shame as it could be so much better.

不喜欢: Not very clean site disposable toilet was always getting blocked. toilets were dirty stepped in poo one day. some of the electric boxes didn’t work. the site kids were very unfriendly to my grandkids in the little park. Washing and dryer machines were expensive. And the showers were always cold warmer to shower in the stream wouldn’t go back there
