Whitemills Wake and Aqua Park

喜欢 The clean shower and toilet blocks, located very close to the camping area.
All kept clean and very simply.
Not over crowded, good sized pitches.
Helpful on-hand staff to resolves problems

不喜欢 Confusion on arrival due to another camper staying extra time and taking out slot, which wasn't actually a problem but we weren't sure where to camp and there had been no communication.
Sadly due to lack of patrolling or security; there was. Avery noisy group of teenagers who were very drunk, playing hide and seek in and out of people's tents and generally being annoying and inconsiderate, falling into ourr tents and swearing a lot.
It really unsettled my son and I would rather that neither rof my two young children (10 & 5) had been subjected to that. It was just one night in a campsite, not a festival site!
Having someone on-site to deal with this would have really been appreciated.
Unfortunately there was a very loud yappy dog camping behind us which want we didn't get to sleep until late and the noise from the traffic woke us up really early.

喜欢 Location, bar and restaurant facilities . Wash up area

不喜欢 Small pitch ,not enough for our awning .lots of feral kids playing ball games around vans - having the van hit numerous times with a heavy leather ball and not being able to relax in case it hits you. Same lot in washrooms and leaving in a real mess ( not the owners fault) NO WI-FI at the pitches

喜欢 Excellent food, very friendly and helpful staff, water park looked fantastic although certainly too old for that now!! Pitches weren't the largest we've seen although luckily we had no one next to us except a tent.

不喜欢 Did not like the unisex toilets and showers, especially as they weren't full size doors for the toilet. My partner was very uncomfortable using the loo when a couple of girls were in there cleaning their teeth!
I personally would like to add that it seemed quite unnecessary that the owner appeared to be making sure that people vacated dead on 11 by standing directly at the pitch waiting.

喜欢 We stayed for 3 nights with our two young children, not long after they had opened. All the facilities were new, in great condition and cleaned regularly. The staff were really helpful, pleasant and regularly seen doing the rounds which was great. There are only circa 20 pitches, which is nice as it’s not packed.

It’s a short drive or 15 min walk into Sandwich, which has a selection of restaurants and pubs. Sandwich bay/Princes beach is 5km away which is well worth heading to, even with the toll to enter. Alternatively you can head to Ramsgate or Deal which are a bit more of a drive and not quiet as secluded.

We didn’t get to use the water park but will almost certainly be heading back for a few weekends with the kids.

喜欢 Disabled facilities were excellent. I’d hurt my back and movement was painful and severely restricted.
Access to water park and restaurant. Food was good.
Proximity to Sandwich town, about a 20 min walk - very convenient.

不喜欢 Facilities were not finished - ladies toilets weren’t open. Gents were unisex, no problem in principle but insufficient capacity for the number of people staying on site.
Campervan pitches were very small. Bit concerning if a fire broke out in one. Many club sites are fastidious about spacing between vehicles for this reason.

喜欢 Such a good location with so much to do on site and around surrounding areas everybody was very friendly. It was extremely clean definitely will be coming back.

喜欢 The site was clean,staff were friendly,restaurant was lovely,good food and reasonable prices.

不喜欢 Very noisy as by main road. As site only opened that weekend the ladies toilet/showers were open so had to share mens. As its not an option to do group bookings when I called about this i was told to book the 3 pitches i required one after the other,on arrival we were told that 2 pitches were together and the third at bottom of field so only used 2 pitches as we wanted to stay together

喜欢 The friendly greeting, was shown to our pitch promptly. As this is a new site all
Facilities were new and clean. Great location as driving distance for days out. Kids loved the aqua park, great way to burn some energy. Other aqua sports available which we would like to come back and try. Nice restaurant and snack bar.

不喜欢 Very windy as very open, however as this is a new site notice that trees have been planted around the perimeter so hopefully in a few years that will not be a problem. The grass was maintained well however there were a lot of prickly weeds.

喜欢 The area and the aqua park, the restaurant was nice and the staff were helpful. We stayed here on the first weekend it opened for camping and touring. Facilities were new so all lovely.

不喜欢 The pitches are extremely small for campers and caravans. With the awning up we were at the edge of our pitch. Lucky for us we had fab neighbours with a motorhome, but two caravans with awnings would leave little to no space to walk around the outside.
Unfortunately had to take our daughter to the hospital after she fell over while playing football with other children. There was some glass in the grass and unfortunately she needed some stitches. The guy that we spoke to handled the situation well and they gave us a refund and offered us a free meal in the restaurant. It's a mixed review, maybe just some teething issues that will soon be ironed out.
