喜欢 What a gem of a site. Perfect location to use as a base, the added bonus of having cows that the kids could get close to. It's a working farm so it's self check in but that wasn't an issue at all, instructions where very clear. Everything you need to stay toilets and showers that yes did get wet an a bit muddy but your camping, there is going to be mud an water, they where cleaned to a great standard, plenty of hot water to wash dishes too. Park if your kids need that extra amusement, but a separate field for football and dogs. You can hire fire pits if needed which comes with a bag of logs, they have a bar which we didn't use but some did. Yes you could here the people in there but nothing that would ruin your break. Will 100% be booking again but for a longer stay next time. Didn't see any staff but didn't find that an issue.

喜欢 Relaxed atmosphere on site , when booking had a few queries and had quick response from owners. Staff on arrival in club house very welcoming. Unfortunately the weekend we stayed there was a disturbance from another family staying on site getting into a fight , the owner attended the scene immediately and ensured people were safe until police arrived.

不喜欢 Bathroom facilities were not clean the showers were flooding causing water to run into the toilets? It was slippy and very muddy with foot fall from people walking in and out of the field. The bathrooms were cleaned on a morning but regular checks throughout the day would be beneficial to ensure cleanliness is upheld. I did contact owners to report issue and they did attend to clean bathrooms however it was off putting and not in line with previous reviews for hygiene.

喜欢 Loved the location and so clean.
Had a lovely walk to the Ship Inn.

不喜欢 Around 11pm another guest started arguing. It was very abusive and children crying. Tried to call the numbers on the website but no answer. Someone else must have called the police. Around 1.30am finally went quiet. Spoilt our night and next day as so tired.

来自经理: I am sorry about that, we do have a warden on site and his number is on the notice board and the reception door.
We didn't have any missed call or anyone else complaining.

喜欢 Clean toilets and showers, remote and nice place, easy to find. Bbq allowed, parking allowed by the pitch.

不喜欢 No Quiet Hours in place as a campsite rule. People were still singing and drinking late at night. A few people were arguing/fighting from around 11pm to midnight with no staff intervention.

Really sorry to hear about the commotion. We do have quiet time from 11pm - 7am we also have a warden. if you had called us or the warden at the time we could have done something about it.

喜欢 Perfect for us, kids loved it and was nice to let them have some freedom and go off to the park on there own

喜欢 Lovely campsite, with great sized pitches. 20 min drive to York city center. Lots of great walks and great little clubhouse with very helpful staff. Will definitely be back.

不喜欢 Toilets was dirty majority of our stay due to other campers not cleaning up after themselves ..
