Beverley: come for the horse-racing, and stay for the excellent nearby walks, the attractions at the redeveloped docks in Hull (15 minutes’ drive), or the rugged North Sea beaches (half an hour). And when you do decide to make a weekend (or a week) of it, bring the dog along and stay at Beverley Holiday Park, just on the outskirts of this East Yorkshire market town (10 minutes from the town centre). Hardstanding touring pitches at Beverley Holiday Park all have electric and water hook-ups, and drainage supplies; there are also modern toilet and shower blocks. While there isn’t a shop on the 44-acre site, you only need to take a five-minute walk along the main road (the A164) to reach a shopping area with not one but two supermarkets, plus a fast-food restaurant, a coffee shop and a petrol station. And of course, there are many more shopping (and dining) options in Beverley itself.

喜欢 Very poor arrival experience, reception closes at 4pm but no plan where to park. It says see e mail however no e mail sent. Emergency numbers displayed never answered or rung me back. Terrible experience. Managed to see a maintenance person who directed me in. You park on a concrete pad made for a static, tight to swing a 7.5m Moho as dropped curb is only a cars width. Generally clean site, needs plastic and debris picking out of the stream in the site and the dyke on the approach road. Slightly noisy as site relatively close to 2 main roads. Site ok when in it but as you step out you are on a retail park. Ok to walk in to Beverley 30mins ish. All on road. Bus stop outside to take you to Hull.
