喜欢 Nice welcome from the owner and good food in the pub.

不喜欢 We booked for 4 nights and only stayed 1. We were basically in the pub car park, the ground was so uneven with big chunks everywhere, not good for pitching a tent. The pub had a disco until late and when it finished it was like the cruise pulled up to pick everyone up with music blaring, wheel spinning and shouting. We thought the cars were coming straight through our tent. Finally managed to get to sleep around 12:30 after the cruise dispersed and then kids started running around the site, screaming on top of their lungs. The toilet facilities weren’t the best but it was better than a bucket and they did explain it was being refurnished. When the owner saw we were packing up she came and asked if we were leaving and we explained the night was awful and the morning wasn’t any better, she just said ok and walked away. This site needs to choose between being a busy pub or a camsite as it didn’t work as both, the pitches were not in the best spot for that.

喜欢 Really nice site, friendly owners, great pub, really enjoyed the food.

It was cheap and good value for money. A lot of reviews have criticised the toilets - they really weren't that bad and I understand new shower/toilet facilities have just been built and are opening next week

不喜欢 I don't think I appreciated how rural the site was before we came, there really wasn't anything round there and we struggled to find good dog walks

喜欢 Lovely site, still in early stages of renovations but a lovely area, great dog walks, owners are helpful. Will definitely stay again if in the area.

不喜欢 No food available but this was out of season and not really an issue, the local chippy was down the road.
Not a negative for us but maybe for others so bear in mind this is in a rural area, quiet and off the beaten track - perfect for us!

喜欢 The staff were very friendly and the area was really nice.
I was put on the carpark, I wasn't complaining. The lady that showed me where to pitch and plug in was very nice and explained she had only been there a few months, so was still finding her feet.

不喜欢 When my electric stopped working I went into the pub to find out why? I was greeted by a man asking if my electric had gone off, when I said yes he told me not to plug heater and kettle on at the same time as the plug had burnt out, he told me to use the gas for my kettle. I have never plugged two things on at the same time and didn't appreciate his attitude. I later found out that all the electric had blown on the field because of the heavy rain. Hence why I was in the carpark. Obviously it had been quite a stressful time for them.

喜欢 Location - quiet, remote, scenic
On site pub - serve food and drinks reasonably priced. Lovely atmosphere inside.
Welcoming and helpful

不喜欢 Lack of prior warning of how muddy the land was for camping - damaged 2 pairs of trainers within 5 minutes of arrival and van was filthy the day after. Got stuck the next day trying to leave. If we had been told about the muddy grounds we would have cancelled.
Risk of damage to vehicle - sharp tree stump next to van. We parked when it was dark and could have been further damage if we had driven over it. Not the sort of land you want to be driving across in a £60000 campervan!
Facilities - no toilet roll, couldn't have a shower as no heating on, apologies given at arrival that the area needed to be renovated, unisex toilets - as a lady i don't expect to be putting toilet seats down and the worry there's a male in the cubicle/shower next to me.
