Looking for a quiet and friendly adults-only site in Lincolnshire for a motorhome or campervan? Lovely – then you could soon be lolling about at Langdale Lakes, 10 minutes’ drive from Lincoln amid a lush and leafy landscape. As the name suggests, this park surrounds a few bodies of water for carp and coarse fishing in fab scenery (with a discount on pegs for guests). It’s an ace place for ambling too as there’s a designated dog walking area allowing off-leash explores for the couple of well-behaved canines visitors can bring with them on their hol. Loping around the lakes is also a fine way to spend some time here, as is venturing a touch further out for cycling and boat trips along local canals or visiting villages scattered around the Lincolnshire Wolds (20 minutes), like Market Rasen, Alford and Caistor. Prefer to mosey about without the motorhome? Buses stop outside the site and travel in two directions, including to Lincoln, the market towns of Louth and Horncastle, and the seaside at Skegness. On return, the site has ample amenities for completing chores, from dishwashing facilities within a well-lit and sheltered area to an Elsan emptying point and grey water waste disposal. The microwave is handy for heating up any leftovers you’ve brought home from lunch at one of Lincoln’s excellent eateries.

喜欢 As a newbie and arriving on my own, John and Jackie were very welcoming and helpful.
I wanted a peaceful and relaxing weekend and that is what I got.
Lovely walks around the lakes, lots of benches to sit and be surround by nature, my dogs enjoyed the walks and there was also an area where they could go off the lead.
Looking forward to returning next year.

喜欢 Everything- lovely location, peaceful apart from the ducks & the occasional train! Very friendly owners. Facilities were good, clean but not enough. Bus stops into Lincoln or Skegness within a minute walk of site entrance. Bus into Lincoln took about 20 minutes.

喜欢 What a wonderful find. Planned as a quick stop off on the way home but turned into an absolute treat and one of our favourites. John and Jackie welcomed us like family with warmth and friendliness. Perfect location lakeside, within ten minutes we spotted a kingfisher. Easy bus journey into Lincoln. Which is lovely, great real ales and good food.
Every facility you need and a lovely site with interesting views from seats around the lake. Yes there is a busy road and less busy railway but it did not disturb at all or detract from the lovely location. No suprise John and Jackie are motohomers they have everything just right.

喜欢 Quiet and peaceful site. Welcome was friendly and informative. Good bus service into Lincoln. Short distance to bus stop.

不喜欢 No dislikes, could benefit from more showers/toilets. Signal poor on Vodafone but ok on ID mobile. Just waiting for the local pub to reopen.

喜欢 Lovely site with really nice owners. We were pitched by lake. Showers were good.

不喜欢 No mention at booking that washing machine/dryer were not working and we had packed light allowing for these being available.

Lincoln’s a smashing spot for urban explores: it has a cathedral, castle, museums, art galleries and shops aplenty (10 minutes’ drive). The cobbled Steep Hill is worth a stroll – true to its moniker, it’s the fourth steepest street in England, so don’t be surprised if scaling it leaves you huffing and puffing. Other settlements to have a gander at include Market Rasen (20 minutes), which has a racecourse, and the Georgian town of Louth (half an hour) – a foodie’s fave – on the other side of the Lincolnshire Wolds. The whole area’s also a hotspot for folk fond of flying; aviation sites are scattered all around, including the Red Arrows’ home at RAF Scampton Heritage Centre (15 minutes). Petrolheads are pretty keen on Cadwell Park (half an hour), while golf courses are a pound a penny for those who want to perfect their swing. Seeking seaside times? The golden sands of the Lincolnshire coast, including the beaches around Skegness, are about an hour’s drive.
