Batemans Brewery Caravan Site

喜欢 Very tranquil and peaceful.

不喜欢 Essentially this campsite is staffless. 9 times out of 10 this isn’t an issue.

However when there are only 4 loo’s, and none have paper it can be more of an issue. Especially after a curry. Also 1 of the 4 showers was out of action with the hose broken for all 3 days of our stay, with no sign of it being looked at.

喜欢 The open layout of the camping site and the generous sizes of the pitches provided. The toilet and showering facilities were magnificent and clean along with being well positioned

不喜欢 A minor niggle only. No washing up facilities on site separate from the toilet/shower block. These are often just an outside sink and draining board area and are normally provided at all other sites. The situation was circumnavigated so not a major problem

喜欢 Nice quiet site, pretty flat with big pitches and plenty of space. Clean toilet and shower facilities. easy walk to shops and pubs in village and brewery visit well doing. Free WiFi was very useful with a decent signal, at least on the pitch we were on.

不喜欢 Some of the info around the site is out of date spent ages looking for the welcome packs in the place it said only to discover that they are now in a small wooden locker by the toilet block. No pot wash sink on site which it could do with.

喜欢 It a lovely place to stay, the caravan next to us was very helpful and cheerful. Very quite and peaceful night sleep. I will book this again. The shower and toilets were together and they were spotless, the best I seen jet. We booked a tour of the brewery the tour guard was great, he was chatty, funny and very knowledgeable about the brewery history . Well worth going.

不喜欢 Thier was a welcome pack with the information we need, in a box . We wasn't informed it was only our caravan neighbour who told us were it was. A quick email from the camp site letting us know would have been nice. Otherwise a lovely place to stop.

Handy for railway station for trains to Skegness.

不喜欢 Couldn’t get a pint in the brewery.

Cars are supposed to be kept on the car park but some selfish camper parked their car on my pitch in between my Motorhome and electric hook up point.

不喜欢 The toilet/shower blocks had no internal locks so anyone could just walk is as the external lock codes were all the same

喜欢 We likes the area, level ground and close to the pub.

不喜欢 Firstly a really bad smell around the brewery, which could have been the drains so unavoidable. No one there on arrival to tell us where our pitch was - eventually a member of the brewery helped us to a little box at the side of the toilets. Our pitch was just behind the bins and under a really bright light that illuminated the brewery work area and was on all night. There was a constant hum from something on the brewery all night. We were awakened by a lorry being loaded up from 6.30am - lots of shouting and noise. Two of the toilets had broken locks.
