Once you’re all pitched up, you can head straight in for a pint or a wine – this park is rather handily tagged onto a cosy pub. The Hunters Inn, on the edge of Longdon village, is a handy four miles from the historic town of Tewkesbury around half an hour’s drive from Cheltenham, and also within easy reach of several of the area’s most famed historic attractions, including Tewkesbury Abbey, Gloucester Cathedral and Hartlebury Castle. The Malvern Hills are also a cinch to get to for walks and big bike rides, and the water meadow at Severn Ham, just outside Tewkesbury, is smashing for a bit of wildlife spotting and birdwatching. When you’re done with days of Worcestershire sightseeing, return back to base for a barbecue. However, if you’d rather have someone else do the cooking, then the pub serves some pretty great locally sourced food instead. There’s a nice sprinkling of entertainment here too: if you’re there for the pub’s monthly quiz, you can exercise some brain cells for a crack at winning the Hunters’ pub quiz crown.

喜欢 location after a day exploring Tewkesbury was fab - not too large a site and lady who gave all the instructions at the bar really friendly. Road busy but was quiet overnight so good night sleep had - toilets clean - didnt use shower but looked clean too.

不喜欢 the bar - popped in for a drink, most places set up for eating so asked where we could sit just for a drink - grumpy man behind bar, not even a smile to welcome - "sit where ever not laid up" thats a perch on a wobbly stool by door way then - if stay again avoid bar unless eating there too

来自经理: Thanks for your review, we do get very busy with diners during evenings, we always try to accomodate every body and encourage people to book tables where possible. im sorry you weren't happy with where you sat. we do have 3 rooms in the pub plus a large garden. im sorry you couldnt find what you were looking for and werent directed to a more satisfactory table in a way you were happy with.

Good site. We would come back.

喜欢 We liked the lawn games available for borrowing. The site was reasonably clean and the staff were lovely without exception. The food and beer in the pub were also great.

不喜欢 The ramp up to the grey water disposal was entertaining with forty kilos of water tank. Much better than no ramp though.

喜欢 Access was very good with very pleasant and amenable hosts. Had 2 meals in the pub including the Sunday carvery. Excellent and good value. Complements to the chef.

Good sized, level, grass pitch with an optional hook-up.
Proximity to the bar/restaurant.
An excellent evening meal. Good choice of beers.
Quiet at night, disturbed only by the occasional passing vehicle on the nearby B road.

不喜欢 Some people review the shower/toilet facilities negatively, but for a night or two, they're OK.

The area plays host to lots of festivals and events throughout the year too; if you’re in the area in July, make sure you check out Tewkesbury’s famed Medieval Festival, where thousands from all over get together for Europe’s biggest annual medieval reenactment: let the merriment commence and the mead flow forth. Elsewhere, this top Worcestershire spot is a most handy locale for outdoorsy and active adventures: there’s a golf course in Tewkesbury and several horse riding schools are in the area too, plus walking and cycling are popular around the Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, a short drive away. Severn Ham is also a splendid place for a walk and a bit of wildlife watching: be sure to take a pair of binoculars or even just your camera phone, because you’ll likely want to snap all the critters and birdlife you’ll find around this wild water meadow.
