At family-friendly site The Thames Head Inn, four miles from Cirencester market town in the Gloucestershire Cotswolds, you definitely won't want to miss the chance. Thames Head is well-placed for exploring the spectacular Cotswolds on foot or by bike – the start of the Thames Path, which follows the world-famous river for 184 miles from source to sea, is half a mile from the site, and there are loads of cycles tours and walking routes starting in Cirencester and Tetbury, both within 10 minutes’ drive of the site. If that's not your scene, kick back on the dog-friendly site in the shade of the trees, soaking in the scenic and peaceful Cotswolds countryside, or take a relaxed stroll through the fields with Rex. Worked up an appetite? The site is in the grounds of the Thames Head Inn bar-restaurant, where food is served well into the evening and the drinks keep flowing until closing (remember to book a table, as mealtimes can get very busy). If you fancy fending for yourself, pick up supplies in Cirencester or Kemble – a 20-minute walk away – and fire up the barbecue. For a change of scenery – and menus – there are plenty of restaurants within 10 minutes of Thames Head.

喜欢 We were taken care of from the moment we arrived. Smashing amount of space. Really fantastic food. Really great staff in the pub. Out dogs were spoilt rotten.

喜欢 The Thames Head Inn was a great place to stay for one night. The Staff at the pub were very accommodating as we had booked the restaurant for a party of 11 as we were meeting family, but forgot to include our four dogs. They changed everything to allow us to use the dog friendly section. They food was delicious and great sized portions. Great pitch facilities.

喜欢 Welcoming and staff, lovely pub in a good location. Clean, level and spacious pitches with electric and access to water. Pub food was very good and reasonably priced.

不喜欢 Only one toilet and shower.

喜欢 Lovely pub and great food. Staff were friendly. We stayed for a couple of days and the campsite was lovely and clean. Great for a stopover

不喜欢 Only one shared toilet and shower (which were in the same room). We stayed in a motorhome and felt isolated, you will definitely need a car

喜欢 Excellent pub food, friendly staff.

不喜欢 The noisy campsite. Motorhomes and campervans arrived and left at all hours waking us up on several occasions. Slamming vehicle doors and talking loudly. Setting up until midnight. No consideration for others.

喜欢 Good location, well set up gravel pitches. Very clean. Disposal point basic- two inspection chamber covers with rope handles but well maintained.

不喜欢 The pub would not do us breakfast - the resident guests are their priority.
Limited facilities - single toilet/washroom with shower.
