Gostou: Nothing really and we Don't get it why there were so many positive reviews

Não gostou: Some pieces on the site had old abandonned caravans (caravan graveyard?) some folks (regulars, we think) had blinking carnival and christmas lights outside
The showers are for men and women in same space
Train nearby, industrial area (working sounds in the morning)

We understand that our campsite might not appeal to everyone. Frederiksværk Camping is a city campsite, and with that comes the unique atmosphere of being close to town, with the calm that can be expected in such a setting. Our campsite has a cozy and relaxed vibe, which we believe adds to the charm of Danish "hygge." Some areas of our site are decorated with soft, welcoming lights that create a friendly, cozy and warm environment for our guests. (Our regulars put on some lights to bring relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.)

Regarding the shower facilities, while it is true that we have a shared shower room for both men and women, please rest assured that each shower is in a private, locked cabin, providing personal space and privacy.

We hope this clarifies our setup, and while our style may not have been to your liking, we do hope you found some positives in your stay.

Gostou: Le tarif très intéressant en tente. L’accueil également agréable. La cuisine commune et ses 4 fours. Le calme.

Não gostou: Les douches chaudes ont un débit très faible, ce qui n’est pas top quand il fait froid comme nous avons eu durant notre séjour.

Gostou: Our sort of site, relaxed atmosphere, not too big or commercial, but with all necessary facilities. Staff very friendly and helpful. Quiet private pitch surrounded by trees and bushes, yet close to sanitary and washing up facilities. Waking up to sound of birds and cuckoos. Near town centre, and particularly being conveniently close to the bus and train station with excellent connections to Copenhagen, Helsingør and especially Hillerød, with its fabulous Fredericksborg Castle. We booked two nights but ended up staying for five. Definitely recommended.

Não gostou: One of few sites where I have no dislikes.
