Whether you’re exploring down the local footpaths that crisscross the countryside or tracking down ponies and canoeing ventures in the New Forest National Park, a stay at Summers Camp will help you tune into your adventurous side. This spacious site is spread over 10 acres of Dorset countryside, with many corners left over to nature. That means you can expect to see wildflowers and birds around the place and find lots of opportunities to get out and explore more. This pop-up site is in the small village of Burton, a 10-minute drive from England’s south coast and the New Forest National Park. Summers Camp is an off-grid site so you should get dark skies at night, but LED fairy lights create laidback festival-style vibes (as well as making a great backdrop for your holiday selfies). Acoustic entertainment is also occasionally on the agenda. It’s safe to say that this friendly site also has good amenities including hot showers, toilets and an occasional pop-up bar. As for the location, well, things are indeed convenient. The site is under a mile from two pubs, a post office and a convenience store, and there’s a pick-your-own farm shop and bakery five minutes’ drive away. Nearby seaside spots like Avon beach and Highcliffe Castle can be reached in about 10 minutes, while the stunning South West Coast Path starts about 10 miles west in Poole (30 minutes’ drive).

Deze camping biedt ruime, vlakke plaatsen en een geweldige locatie nabij voorzieningen en attracties. Bezoekers prijzen vaak het vriendelijke, behulpzame personeel en genoten van de ontspannen sfeer. Faciliteiten zijn basic maar schoon en functioneel, al waren er klachten over de portapotties en douches. Ondanks dit is de camping een aanrader.

Ik was blij met Great open location, clean toilets and shower. A lovely pop up tent area, surrounded by farms and plenty of supermarkets nearby. Lots of places nearby various beaches under 10 mins away and Bournemouth beach 15min. The tent was very big and could definitely fit a lot more people in it.
Tent was a little dirty on arrival with grass and dirt inside. Would be nice to have had dust pan and brush as I don’t even think they cleaned it before we arrived.

Ik was niet blij met The tent was very big to fit 8 people in comfortably so it is unfortunate they would only allow booking up to six as would have like to bring my parents along.
Hot water ran out quickly in the showers but they tried to fix it asap.
No hot water for washing greasy dishes.
Would be nice if there was just one electric point to blow up mattresses.

Ik was blij met Great location, close to brilliant beaches and good amenities within walking distance. We enjoyed Sunday lunch at the Oak Inn which is just down the road.
It is a pretty basic site but we knew this when booking and I think the price they charge reflects this.
We stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed it, lots of space for the children to play and they spent ages picking blackberries!
Most people were respectful of the quiet times etc.

Ik was niet blij met Tent wasn’t very clean on arrival - airbeds were covered in sand and we had to take them outside and clean them off before we used them, bedside table thing hadn’t been cleaned and had a drink spilled over it.
One of the airbeds had a slow puncture, we reported it and were told that someone would come back the next day to blow up a spare one but they never did. Fortunately as it was for our kids and they are fairly light we managed with it.
Second night 2/3 showers were cold as the gas had run out. We reported via WhatsApp as requested and got a really quick reply to let us know that someone would check it out but unfortunately it took a while for the problem to be fully sorted.
Would benefit from a separate tap for hand washing/bottle filling away from the washing up sinks

Ik was blij met Loved the site. Friendly site manager who checked up on us, good service. Lovely sunset views

Ik was niet blij met However site sure could do with better ablution block. Temporary toilets were clean but very smelly which made it unpleasant when the wind blew.

Ik was blij met I didn’t like it at all. Sorry to say that but nothing is there just tents.

Ik was niet blij met That was cold and the mattress was a little small for me, there is not electricity and open fire is not allowed in the site. It is make difficult to get warm.

Visiting the Sammy Miller Motorcycle Museum (10 minutes), the National Motor Museum (35 minutes) or New Forest Wildlife Park (35 minutes)? Those of you who are keen on all the adventurous sort of stuff will spend your time wisely at Snowtrax Alpine Activity Centre (15 minutes), which runs skiing, snowboarding and ringo rides. Moors Valley Country Park (20 minutes) is just as sporty a day out, as the park has trails, a golf course and Go Ape ropes courses for those who want to channel their best monkey impression. Back towards the coast, a picnic in the grounds of Highcliffe Castle (10 minutes) could be followed by a stroll down to the beach. You may want to see how you fare with watersports like paddleboarding from Christchurch Harbour (10 minutes). Otherwise, join the sailing scene in Lymington (25 minutes) for another seaside-inspired day.
