Ik was blij met This was our first visit but it won't be our last. Lovely site, ideally located for the bus and the staff were warm and welcoming.

Ik was blij met The site! Well laid out, and loved the wigwams (although we didn’t stay in one) plus the BBQ area - felt like we were abroad and made the holiday even more.

Ik was niet blij met The showers were extremely hot and there was no way to regulate them so we ended up using the family room sink to wash the young children! Not ideal with a very big 6 year old!
The play area was super noisy up to 10pm.
I think it should close at 9pm due to young children sleeping.
Recycling bin was much further away than the normal bins

Ik was blij met En suite camping pod was great. Spacious inside with electric socket and phone charge points and a picnic table and chairs outside. Toilet and shower were clean and great to use.
The holiday site itself was fantastic with lots of facilities but nice and quiet at night.

Ik was blij met Location is great, easy to get to Newquay and the surrounding beaches, that said although it is possible to walk to Crantock beach either via the coastal path (lovely & scenic) or the main road, neither are suitable for families heading for a beach day with all of the kit that requires-you’ll need to drive into Crantock but you’ll have to be up early to get a parking space in holiday term.

Site has a small pub which is open for a few hours and a food van also open for a couple of hours each evening serving pizza, burgers, hot dogs, etc.

It is a very large and busy site comprising of hard standing pitches, grass pitches, statics and pods.

The swimming pool is tiny and very shallow - the promotional photos of the pool make it look as though the pool is bigger than it is and has plenty of seating for adults when in reality there were a couple of plastic chairs and 2 dirty plastic sun loungers. The pool is fine for very young children.

Amenities were two shower/toilet blocks with washing and cleaning facilities - the washing machine was £5.20 for a wash and £3.20 for an hour tumble dry both paid for using an app or card payment only.
The little shop has the basics such as bread/milk etc and is a little expensive but to be expected. The man who runs the shop is really nice, very helpful and was always happy to open the shop as soon as he arrived which was always earlier than the advertised time.

Our Touring pitch was hard standing which was a standard size, enough to have seating on the grass section and car parked horizontally (everyone on our row parked this way, rather than being adjacent to the awning - had to use motor mover to get the caravan into the pitch as the access road is narrow and the vans/cars in the opposite pitches were too close so unable to reverse it in with the car.

I’m not into fishing but there are 2 fishing lakes on site with plenty of pegs, the lakes are lovely to walk around.


Overall our stay here was OK but we wouldn’t return during summer holiday term because it was just too big and too noisy - it felt like we were surrounded by barking dogs at all hours, adults who spent most evenings shouting and swearing at their kids and young teenagers who gathered everywhere and bombed around dangerously on electric scooters.

Ik was niet blij met Wi-Fi is provided on site by a 3rd party but it is very expensive, there is no free WiFi which is a surprise given that the touring pitches cost in the region of £70 per night -

Our own mobiles were on O2 and Three - O2 was okay as we had some 4G but not enough to stream reliably but Three had 5G so we all tethered to this.

The site was overrun with irresponsible dog owners who allowed their dogs to bark continuously, regardless of the time. We had several occasions where dog mess was just left on the access roads where it was stood in by campers.

The swimming pool is open 10 - 5 each day but trying to get booked in is a challenge plus the rules are a bit draconian, for example 1 adult can supervise several kids under 16 in the pool but you must be in the pool with them and be at arms length - my 13 year old is a far stronger swimmer than I am so this seems a strange rule especially given that the pool is so small and shallow.

There is a one way system on site that no one follows and the amount of cars speeding on site is really bad, when you combine irresponsible drivers with teenage kids bombing around on electric scooters (often 2 up) then this will only end up badly.

There are site rules around scooters and the roads/lanes which are open to the public and there’s no barrier to the site but no enforcement takes place by staff that we saw over the 2 weeks we were there.

Very few of the grass pitches are anything near to being called level, in fact the further you head down the grassed area towards the touring pitches the steeper the grass pitches get, having camped for many years prior to touring I can honestly say that I would avoid the site with a tent unless you’re happy & used to pitching on sloping ground.
