Brightlingsea Touring Park

Ik was blij met: Good communication, arrival instructions sent by email with site map so finding pitch and setting up was straightforward. Manager Nicki arrived shortly after to check me in, she was helpful and friendly. I live quite locally so know the area, there is lots to do in Brightlingsea, plenty of places to eat and drink, close to the beach and a boating lake. Best crabbing spot in North Essex ! Lovely quiet clean site with toilets, showers and laundry room. I have used this site a few times over the past 10 years and the new management is a definite improvement.

Ik was blij met: Great location with an amazing view. Site next to the lake and few steps away from dog friendly beach. Very close to the shops, pubs and nature reservoir where you can take your dog for a lovely walk. Toilet and shower on site OK. Nicki the manager very helpful and nice. Great place, really.

Ik was niet zo blij met: Nothing about the site as it was great but the noise from motorbikes and cars racing on Promenade Way, (and end car park), where the site is located, after 9pm was horrendous. Some days, race track on this road was until or after midnight.

Ik was blij met: Our 1st outing in our (new to us) motorhome! Loved it! Water & EHU next to pitch, big dog walking field next door. Loads and we mean loads of pubs! We will be back again! Shower block & loos were clean & they had a utility room, with all the amenities. Only problem was other people could use both and there were a few motothomes parked on the road outside using our amenities (with they hadn't paid for) so maybe a keycoded door or something?

Ik was niet zo blij met: When we arrived our pitch was still occupied, so we had to wait in an empty bay (which we were glad there was some) so the 11am leave is not really a thing (arrival time was from 1pm) we had to wait about 30mins. Also the weeds...not a major problem but the hardstanding bays were full of them. Previous people had obviously weeded as they had just thrown the (now dead) weeds all over the grass, so it was left unkept looking. (Could have piled them up!?) Also I had to remove some wood with nails in, that had broken off before we moved the van in, so maybe a site inspection should be done, when people move off site.

Ik was blij met: The pitches were very nicely spaced,with water and electric.the washrooms were clean

Ik was niet zo blij met: The hot water in the washrooms was very hit and miss,even if there was no one else using them at the time.also there was no security to stop anyone from off the site using the facility.

Ik was blij met: Clean nice and quiet good Facilities. Electric hookup and water on pitch.

Ik was blij met: Lovely location, plenty to do within walking distance so you don’t have to move your camper once set up. Great views of the lake. Very clean site. Toilet and shower block really clean with plenty of hot water. The site was full when I was there but didn’t feel too crowded and the facilities were maintained to a high standard.
