Lizard Point Holiday Park

Mi è piaciuto: Park is in a fantastic area. So much to do nearby. Food was excellent. Touring facilities and warden were excellent. Staff were very accommodating and welcoming

Non mi è piaciuto: Very windy. Will remember that for next time.
WiFi was not great at all but meant for a tech free weekend.

Non mi è piaciuto: On arrival we asked where the grey and black waste points were, we were told they were sign posted but after driving around and not finding the camper service point but finding our pitch in a muddy field we drove back to the reception and asked if we could move to one of the empty hard standing pitches. We were told they were all booked so went back on the hunt for the motorhome service point which we found to be full of human excrement ( we reported this at the time to a park worker, but 2 days later if was still the same). During our stay the empty hard standing pitches were never used !
The showers never worked during our stay and the heater in the ladies shower block never worked. There was mould growing up the ladies toilet doors in the clubhouse.
We reported the problems and asked for a manager to contact us to arrange a refund for our remaining time at the park as we left a day early.
1 week later no one has contacted us.

Mi è piaciuto: Not a lot, but probably personal choice. I imagine great for families with children with lots of people, noise, activities etc. Static caravans looked nice .. and clean!

Non mi è piaciuto: Touring toilet and shower facilities were awful, half the toilets were broken & full of wee, out of service or unable to flush urine or tissue let alone anything else! Showers were nasty (hair balls!) Didn't use the facilities, washed my hands real hard and left before I caught anything.Oh and WIFI set up complicated and didn't actually work it out as it was just tiring... so don't rely on it!

Mi è piaciuto: I found the park to be of a reasonable standard. The onsite toilet n showers nice and clean. Maintenance staff friendly and helpful.
All in all i was quite happy with the park/site. Even a bus service to lizard which is a nice bonus.

Non mi è piaciuto: I felt the beer prices was steep so i didn’t buy any. So that was a bit of a shame really. Just refuse to pay stupid beer prices.
However food prices was fair and i enjoyed the breakfasts.

It’s disappointing to hear you did not find our bar and restaurant reasonably priced. We always aim to provide something suitable for all budgets with ever changing offers throughout the season, as well as staying competitive with the local area.

Non mi è piaciuto: Only stayed here as a solo hiker as seemed only option - not well located really for coast path and more a suburban holiday park - and nothing was open (pools etc) for a late afternoon arrival one night stay,

Mi è piaciuto: The 2 members of staff we come across were friendly & other campers were lovely as usual

Non mi è piaciuto: We chose this site as it was advertised that there was plenty to do with the children age 4-10 years. Upon arrival we weren’t able to book swimming as it said fully booked. We were sent down to the pitches which weren’t laid out well at all, you had to guess where you were pitching and had 8 pitches on a tiny bit of grass. After setting up we were sat outside the tent and there were rats running around the grass, under bins, caravans etc. I understand wildlife when camping but myself & other campers had never seen anything like it. We couldn’t sit outside the tent & had to have it zipped up at all times due to this. A cleaner told the younger children the rats will attack them and they have sharp teeth & claws which led to one of them being extremely traumatised through the stay. The food on site isn’t the greatest at all. We couldn’t book any activities yesterday as it was all shut (stated online that only the outdoor pool would be closed). The showers were dirty & the toilets barely flushed. Luckily some other campers informed us of some electric showers on site that we could use. We ended up packing up & leaving after 15 hours on site. The children were extremely disappointed that there was no swimming, aqua jets, pedal boats etc as advertised. They were gutted to have their camp cut short but we’re excited to leave the site. I have emailed the site & am currently waiting for a response.

In relation to swimming slots, these can be booked within manage my booking six week before arrival, along with pre-booking activities.
