Crossgate Farm Campsite apprezzato per splendidi panorami, personale cordiale e bar/ristorante in loco. Ospiti godono animali, soprattutto capre; posizione ideale per passeggiate. Servizi puliti e nuovi, ma alcuni portaloos e mancanza aree lavaggio piatti. Terreno collinare con piazzole in pendenza. Nonostante servizi essenziali, molti consigliano e tornano.

Mi è piaciuto Loved the animals, loads of space to pitch tent and friendly staff. Also very clean facilities.
Non mi è piaciuto There was a nice barn with a bar that also served food, but unfortunately there was a private event on that weekend so we couldn’t use it. This was one of the reasons we picked this campsite so we could use that facility at night, so it should state on the website when there is going to be private events and the barn area is out of use so you are not disappointed when you get there.

Dal gestore: BOOKINGS ARE MADE WELL IN ADVANCE FOR CAMPING, BUT SOMETIMES EVENTS ARE BOOKED CLOSE TO THE EVENT, ITS NOT ALWAYS POSSIBLE TO MAKE PEOPLE AWARE OF EVENTS THAT ARE BEING HELD IN THE BARN.
THE COW SHED IS A GREAT FACILITY IF IT IS NOT ALREADY BEING HIRED OUT FOR PRIVATE EVENTS AND IN MANY OCCASIONS PEOPLE ARE HAPPY TO SHARE, BUT WEDDINGS ARE A BIT DIFFERENT.

Non mi è piaciuto big field , but too many tents close together, no privacy. tent allowed to pitch right on top of me, compounded by a fire, with smoke blowing in my tent and car. i am a recovering Asthmatic, why is this permitted ?

Dal gestore: Seriously Barry? You arrived on a Thursday, there were about 5 other tents on a 6 acre field.
The fact you are a recovering asthmatic is hardly the campsites fault or neighbouring campers.
You sound more like a grumpy old man who was upset because you thought your daughter had paid for the camping and she hadn't.
Our campers love the fact they can have a fire.

Mi è piaciuto Lovely little site , able to pick your own pitch. Lovely view of the reservoir and there are friendly horses and goats on site to interact with.

Campsite was clean and tidy. Able to park car next to pitch.
Washroom/showers clean and well maintained.
Washing up area available with warm water and soap, sheltered
Did not use the bar and cafe but looked very nice. A wedding took place the weekend we were there and not disrupt our weekend at all.
Horses, goats and peacocks on site, great for the whole family.
Walked to the bulls head for some food and walked the seven falls Hike. The weather was kind to us.
Would highly recommend this campsite. Will definitely be returning!

Mi è piaciuto Great campsite, amazing views and walks nearby, relaxed atmosphere, and goats!! Toilets and showers were always spotless.
Non mi è piaciuto On a hill so not many flat pitches, may be an issue if busy but it was quiet when I was there so always managed to get a good spot.

Mi è piaciuto Lovely owners , great site ,bathrooms good with hot showers, lovely to see the horses in the field next to you ,barn is brilliant great cafe/bar area
Non mi è piaciuto Nothing they can do, but the midges are the worst I've ever seen anywhere, I had well over 200 bites on my face alone just from setting up it was horrific, had to pay for 3 showers a day to ease the itching, couldn't leave as I was working all weekend so that was our reason for camping at this location, maybe a strong warning to bring bug spray would be helpful,

Mi è piaciuto Amazing views, friendly and available staff to speak to, even more friendly animals roaming round. Stayed over bank holiuday weekend so site was busy with families, but everyone respected quiet after 10pm. The converted barn with superb freshly made food. All facilities were spotless. 10 out of 10.
