A aimé Great location and very helpful information provided by Nicki the general manager of nearby attractions and facilities. We would definitely stay again. The site was clean tidy and peaceful.

N'a pas aimé Showers and toilets need updating ,water runs at different temperatures. One minute it's hot then ice cold.

A aimé The site was well kept and very tidy facing a large pond with ducks and swans on. The pitches are all hard standing stone gravel with grass surroundings The staff were friendly and helpful.
The site is close to all amenities in a lovely village which has shops selling everything you could need including several restaurants and carry out establishments. Fresh fish is sold at the harbour every day.
There is a good bus service to Colchester. There are plenty of walks which would allow dogs to be exercised and a good children’s play area.

A aimé Easy pitch up lovely lady came over to make sure all was ok. Toilets and showers clean and plenty of hot water. Everything you need for a great stay pubs and restaurants within walking distance.

N'a pas aimé Our pitch was close to the road. Had another motorhome pull up behind with a motorboat revving. Can't be helped and not the fault of the site. Didn't ruin our stay, just annoying.

A aimé Great location for seafront and sailing club. Quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Nicky was friendly on arrival. Electric and water tap on each pitch.

N'a pas aimé Facilities weren’t good. They were clean but the plumbing was shocking. The showers and taps were either boiling (dangerously so) or freezing, and half the taps didn’t work at all. There was one hand soap for all of the sinks and no soap in the disabled loo. Also the hard standing appears to be a mixture of gravel with broken pottery and lots of broken glass. Dangerous for the dog and children. It wasn’t just a broken bottle, it was as though it formed the aggregate that has been used, as it was everywhere.

A aimé Owner was friendly to me, pitch very basic but the toilets were disgusting. I did see them being cleaned but they were absolutely grim, no ventilation really and very basic (even though we paid standard pitch prices that you would find on another campsite).

N'a pas aimé Toilets! They need an urgent upgrade, one soap between a whole toilet block is pretty revolting.
