A aimé : Very quiet place on the time we have been. Lots of space. PToilets and showers very clean and near by. Cafe and restaurant on site.

N'a pas aimé: Designed area for fishing. We had to walk to far end lake.

A aimé : Really nice and quiet, dog walks, great dog friendly cafe and a shop that sells all things dog. Great for fishing, we don't but good scenery, we had a really good relaxing weekend.

N'a pas aimé: It would be nice to have a map of the site to pin point necessities.
Easier access to waste water points for motor homes would be good too.
Ladies facilities could be cleaner but I think it's more to do with other campers.
No WiFi.

Lakes and fishing

N'a pas aimé: We arrived on the Friday of a bank holiday weekend and there was no toilet roll in either the ladies or men’s. Also some cubicles in the ladies had no working locks. Ladies was clean but men’s was filthy on arrival. They were better on the Saturday when things were cleaned and replenished.
Pitches unlevel and we have managed here before with this, but it seemed to have got worse.
We paid £70 for 2 days fishing for 2 people, on the first day a dog jumped in the lake right by us twice whilst the bailiff was there and nothing was said. Plenty of rules put in place by new management but nothing really enforced and a few people took the p and ruined it for others.
No farm shop either anymore, so listing needs to be updated. Also on the Sunday of our visit the cafe was shut with no communication, so was left with no breakfast, had to go out to get something.
Probably wouldn’t return now, which is a shame as we have been here twice before.

A aimé : Setting was lovely. Pretty around the fishing lakes and bluebells all out through woodland walk.
Cafe an added bonus and food good. Unfortunately water problems meant closed on our second day when hubby had been looking forward to a full English.
Site easily walkable to Battle across fields and woodland and accessibility to coast good too.

N'a pas aimé: Shower block was tired. Not toilet roll or soap or cleaning stuff to leave it clean and tidy (or to clean before using as full of grass cuttings) in ladies block.
Hubby frustrated that grass had been cut and clippings just left to mulch so got everywhere.

Very picturesque, the lakes look beautiful
Lovely location with lots of local walks and good pubs nearby
Very nice cafe onsite, although Pitchup.com needs to update their listing as the farm shop has closed

N'a pas aimé: Improvement needed in shower/toilet block cleanliness and supplies.
We arrived on Friday of a bank holiday weekend to find that there was no toilet paper in either the ladies' or men's facilities, and no soap in the men’s toilets at all. These basic supplies weren’t replenished until Saturday. While the ladies’ block was very clean, the men’s toilets were in a terrible state. I understand that some users may not respect the facilities, but it’s the site's responsibility to maintain a basic standard of cleanliness (however unpleasant that task may be) and ensure that essentials like toilet paper and soap are regularly checked and stocked. These issues contributed the fact we cut our stay short.
