Wildside Camping and Glamping

Me gustó: The friendly, relaxed atmosphere. It was welcoming and spacious and the pitches weren't crowded together. The site manager was very helpful and understanding when I got a bit muddled with the electric hook up. We liked the quiet and the assorted family games that were available to use.

No me gustó: There only being 2 toilets and one shower room (had 2 showers in so ideal for a family) and the lack of hot water for the washing up. Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi wasn't working when we visited - my children were not amused.

Absolutely correct about the wifi - annoyingly the new router arrived the day after you left :(

Toilets/showers - i agree! We have 2 new toilets awaiting construction and its the next job on the list ( i plan for higher doors too :) )

Yes - i can see how it is frustrating with cold water wash up. But you will be pleased to know i have thought of that too-
Hot water is indeed coming in the coming weeks! For now, a kettleful of boiling water should take the chill off :)
I will put a washing up bowl out there I think tomorrow.

Me gustó: Amazing place to connect with nature and go on a digital detox. Clean facilities and super friendly staff! Will definitely be back :)
Perfect for families, not far away from shops or pub if need it.

Me gustó: Beautiful quiet setting with a good pub within 10 min walk away. Hannah was very welcoming and laid back. Clean and tidy site.

Me gustó: Loved the quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Camp site was on a vast field. They had 2 horses which you can feed with carrots, kids were thrilled. Also had games (table tennis, badminton, etc) which we all enjoyed. Very clean toilets. Hannah was a lovely host which made sure our stay was enjoyable. They only accept cash so be prepared to bring in some money. Able to park and camp fire beside the tent. The bell tent was lovely and spacious enough for the 4 of us. Had a small fridge which was very useful for us. Clean beddings, floor fan was also very useful. Wifi was strong enough for our mobile phones. Overall was a lovely one night getaway. Highly recommended!

Me gustó: The welcome… she really has a lovely demeanour and is so approachable and helpful. Seems like nothing is too much to ask.
The large bell tent is awesome. Space, amenities and cleanliness.
This is a new set up and by her willingness to sort things out for you, she will definitely excel ❤️

No me gustó: Not really a dislike but the site is new and lots of learning curves and teething problems but we sincerely hope it goes from strength to strength.

Me gustó: The best camping spot I have ever seen in the entire county. Perfect location with a beautiful, natural view. I could even see the Milky Way galaxy at night. The host will take care of you and ensure you are happy and satisfied with your camping experience. Recommended for families and children. I will definitely come again

Many activities are available in the local area. The facilities are very clean.the pitch's perfectly level. you can play football there

Me gustó: Quiet, relaxing and a very clean well run campsite. Toilets were kept clean and always had a nice fresh smell everytime you went to use them. Campsite also has wifi which was amazing since the Olympics were on.

No me gustó: Being told to move in a field that appeared to say pitch any where which wasnt the case.

Me gustó: Single mum with older kids but felt safe.
Tranquil and peaceful setting. Lots of space per pitch
The owners are very attentive without being in your face. Loo block was basic (will be updated) but always spotless and well stocked with loo roll and soap etc. Hannah, the owner, has produced a leaflet with various local attractions some of which are not expensive for a cheap getaway.

No me gustó: There is, understandably, no hot water at the washing up station.
Not a massive amount to do within walking distance (unless you want the pub or to hike) but well appointed for car journeys.
