Local attractions
Direct from the site you can go lake swimming, paddling or canoeing. You can also buy yourself a fishing licence and hire a boat to catch yourself a small fish or two.
There are lots of bike paths that network the local neighbourhood, and you can grab yourself a detailed map from reception to go off and explore with.
Keen anglers can drive out to Åsnen Lake and the river Mörrumsån, two of Sweden's best fishing areas, where they can catch salmon, pike and trout.
Take a trip out to the Bjurkärr Nature Reserve, around an hour's drive away, where you'll find an ancient woodland of beech and oak. There are two waymarked trails that run through the forest – one of them being adapted to accommodate those with limited mobility – and you'll also be able to do a bit of birdwatching during the summer for species like the spotted woodpecker, the stock dove, the red-breasted flycatcher and the wood warbler.
