Fully-serviced grass and gravel touring pitch

Liked: Lovely view of sunset.

Disliked: Where should I start!
This was our second choice of site as the other was full (Good Friday). When we arrived, saw that there were piles of wood, and building materials everywhere. The road and parking bays were just cinders. Then we checked out the facilities which were dire! Showers full of dirty footprints and nowhere to hang your things. Benches looked like been knocked together with pallets. Old Belfast sink outside to wash up in, ( wouldn't have washed my dog in), no hot water, toilets could only just fit in. Had to lift a manhole cover to dump waste. Couldn't find a tap to fill water tank.
At 7:40am a van & trailer pulled up & dropped off road roller followed by wagon & a team of men then proceeded to lay tarmac outside one of the cabins opposite.
Once finished, they went & a guy came & rollered the tarmac flat.

Liked: We recently stayed at the standing stones in our motorhome and couldn’t have been more happy with the place. The facilities(toilets and showers) were amazing and the food and drinks less than 20 seconds walk from our truck were amazing too! We will definitely be back again and would highly recommend to anyone thinking of visiting.

Liked: Spacious pitches with decent facilities

Disliked: Some of the staff on the site were rude upon our arrival. They then proceeded to call me 4 times to say I hadn’t paid, decided to leave a night early which is a shame as we paid for it.

Fully-serviced grass and gravel touring pitch

Liked: It was close to Belfast and the Black Mountains. Tara on reception was friendly and helpful.

Disliked: Toilets were dirty, empty soap dispensers, hand dryer did not work, and lock on one of the cubicles was broken. Only 2 unisex showers for whole site and not clean. Whole block needed pulling down and rebuilt. Chemical toilet, was filthy, blocked, and no water supply to hose, plus no cover....disgusting.

Liked: Nothing

Disliked: Overpriced for what was on offer - paid less for a much better site the previous night and the following night. The toilets and showers are very cramped and were not very clean.

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked: The view was beautiful, the play park was great, the glamping pods look luxurious. One member of staff was very kind and he helped us jump start our car when the battery ran flat. Toilets were fairly clean.
The pizza and Rockshore on tap absolutely hit the spot. Overall we had a great time.

Disliked: Not that it's the venues fault, but bare in mind there's no local shop. At least not that we could find. So if you run out of anything that might be tricky to navigate.

Local attractions

Boots at the ready… you can walk straight from the lodge onto the Divis mountain trail, or the Black Mountain trail, both of which have gorgeous views along with a good amount of wildlife to spot (see if you can spot any red grouse or peregrine falcons overhead as you look out towards the Belfast skyline). More walks? Head out into the Antrim Coast and Glens Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (35 minutes’ drive) or aim south to the mountains of the Mourne Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (50 minutes). If you’ve not managed to spot any big birds along the trails, you’ll surely have better luck at World of Owls (35 minutes). For magnificent buildings, meanwhile, try Antrim Castle (20 minutes) or Carrickfergus Castle (half an hour). Belfast (15 minutes) is a grand place for a day out too – perhaps visiting the Titanic Museum and Crumlin Road Gaol or taking a black cab tour to learn about the city’s troubled history.
