What customers say
Walnut Tree Farm is a peaceful rural spot with loads of space. Guests love the friendly owners, super clean eco-friendly loos and showers, and the quiet vibe. Great views, good pitch spacing, and campfires are highlights. Access roads are a bit tight and planes sometimes rumble from Bristol Airport. All in all, a top spot for chilling out and enjoying nature.

From the manager: Dear Bruce, on your arrival I mentioned a group of women cyclists
in the next field may be an issue with noise?, they were talking
around the campfire for most of the evening with no music or loud
noise , the music came from a party a few miles away in that direction , I to at first thought the same as yourself, the group were
also not to pleased, this is the first time this year it’s happened!,
I’m afraid I could not rectify the situation, I’m so sorry this happened
also apologies for not contacting you the next morning, regards Mike.
Perfect
Non-electric grass tent or campervan pitch
Liked Peaceful, naturally beautiful campsite, rolling hills welcoming owner. Logs for campfires delivered in a wheelbarrow, no restriction on pitch size. Well kept composting toilets - no smell, and clean, hot showers.
Disliked Nothing. Some plane noise during daylight hours depending on wind direction but this did not distract from the countryside sounds.

A lovely site with a friendly welcoming atmosphere.
Non-electric grass tent or campervan pitch
Liked We loved having the freedom to choose where to pitch up with no pressure. It was our first camping trip so we wanted to have some space and privacy to figure it out. Mike was really friendly and kind and bought us a big barrow of wood to make a fire and even came to check on us in the morning after a windy night and huge thunderstorm! We sat by the fire with lovely views and the sounds of other campers gently going about their business while a nearby wedding party enjoying their night drifted over and was actually really pleasant. The cows had a few hearty moos in the morning but we loved them! A short drive to Stanton Drew to visit the stones which I had wanted to do for ages. We’ll be back.
Disliked Nothing!

Non-electric grass tent or campervan pitch
Liked The site is spacious and delightful.
The toilets are clean, tidy and well maintained. My boys enjoyed the “wee wee on the straw”!
The washing up area was well laid out although I never did get hot water.
The showers are dreamy - no fees, no time limit, actually hot and good pressure, sensible amount of hooks etc so your stuff doesn’t get wet.
The welcome was genuine and helpful. I saw the owner every day and he checked on how we were doing. He recommended where to pitch based on my requirements and warned me when a biggish group was coming!
The location was great for us getting into Bristol and visiting friends nearby.
Quiet!
Disliked Honestly nothing that puts me off going again.
The location might be a bit remote for some but it suited us really well.
Oh, I don’t think there was WiFi and there was very little phone signal, but we survived!

Superb place to stay for camping.
Non-electric grass tent or campervan pitch
Liked Everything.
Mike is such a great host, great with the kids, available routinely throughout the stay, always has what you need.
Safe for my boys (3 and 6), they're safe and can play without me having to keep them still or quiet.
10pm quiet time which is great.
Disliked If I was forced to pick.... close to the airport but not close to anything else. If you forget to pack something you'll need to drive a distance to get anything. But that's also a positive thing too. Its a great place.

Liked Loved this campsite and plan to stay again. Lovely location and the camp site has been thoughtfully set out to provide privacy. The facilities were beautifully clean. The owner was very welcoming. Lovely to see a commitment to the environment in everything they are doing.
Lovely, quiet and tranquil place I even saw some deer whilst walking round the campsite. Appreciated all the thoughtful and practical touches such as some tree stumps for table and bases for fires (when not too dry)

we stayed in the family field…
Non-electric grass tent or campervan pitch
Liked we stayed in the family field on a beautiful weekend in august. There is lots of space, the site has set up little areas with some wooden benches, tables and fire pits that you can use and set up camp around. Across the lane there’s an adults only field but the family one was pretty quiet anyway. There’s two hot showers and some compositing loo’s which were all nice. The site has chickens so if they’re laying you can buy them, also some cows in the field separated by an electric fence made it all feel nice and country.
