What customers say
A top spot near Swanage town and beach! Friendly staff, great WiFi, and decent amenities. Pitches are spacious. Some areas are a bit dated, and there are mixed opinions on cleanliness and noise.

Electric grass pitch
Liked I liked the pitch it was clean no bugs no flies.
Disliked There wasn’t any play ground for kids to play and the showers turn cold and in the toilets there is no tissue to dry your hands and the toilets were pretty far from pitch 20-29.

One of the worst campsites I have ever been to.
Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked Nothing
Disliked The camping field was via a scruffy, rubbish filled residential site and only one set of toilets and showers for both the holiday makers and all the 'residents'. Needs major improvement. Broken shower screen, holes on the walls of the showers, soiled toilet paper on the floor, mud (it wasn't raining), you can smell the toilets from quite a way rom outside the toiles. Rip off price for terrible facilities. Pitches very unlevel and scruffy.

Lovely family friendly site with kind staff and a great location.
Electric grass pitch
Liked I really enjoyed camping at Herston Caravan and Camping. The area is spacious, peaceful, and very family friendly. The owner was extremely kind and even lent me his charging cable extension when I didn’t have one, which I really appreciated. The location is also fantastic, just a 7 minute drive to the beach, close to Corfe Castle, the old rail train, and a handy Co-op supermarket. Overall, it’s a lovely site and I will definitely be going back.
Disliked The only downside was the toilet hygiene, which could be improved, and the lack of hand towels in the facilities.

Friendly reception.
Little shop on site.
Great views.

Disliked Couldn't see a play park for kids although I may have missed it.
The back roads to get there were very tight but no fault of the parks.

Liked The shop, the staff , the bar/ food van all excellent
Disliked The toilets, showers were awful not cleaned enough , lots of broken doors, shower screens, toilet roll holders.
Water went off the first day at 10am that was everywhere!
It says 5 mph on site but most people went over that, because it’s all gravel, and we was on an end pitch, we was getting all the dust from the traffic, other people commented on how fast people were driving.
My husband gestured the log man to slow down in his truck, but it fell on deaf ears/eyes! whilst we was cooking our bar b q.
Wasn’t anyone on reception when we left to complain to.
Shame because it’s a great location 🤷♀️

Nice enough, though uncertain if I’d return.
Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked Polite staff, easy parking, more than adequate space per unit. Proximity to Swanage - an easy walk.
Disliked Too many barking dogs, dearth of shower or toilet facilities, slightly overpriced.

I would not recommend or return.
Electric grass pitch
Liked Seaview was the only nice field. Plenty of room and parking.
Disliked Only 5 showers for a large field. The toilets had no soap no paper towels. There were buckets and mops to clean the floors, in each toilet shower cubicle but the water in them was absolutely disgusting. The site is unkept rubbish everywhere
