Looking over the river from the site

  • Site 10 minutes' walk from a river beach for swimming and fishing
  • Cosy bar on site specialising in local Breton beers
  • Easy access to Dinan, Dinard, Cancale and Saint-Malo
A flowery welcome awaits at Camping de la Ville Ger in the Côtes-d'Armor department of Brittany's north-west – as do a river beach and boat trips, canoeing and seal spotting, and a bar lined with many a Breton beer to sample… sound good? Splendid holiday setting: sorted. A beach on the Rance river is a mere 10 minutes' walk away from the site's setting near Pleudihen-sur-Rance, making it great for long leisurely days of lazily basking on the gently sloping beach, or swimming, fishing and canoeing in its calm waters. Several kilometres of hiking trails are alongside the river (you might spot a seal or two on the rocks in nearby Mordreuc) and the town makes a good base for visiting the attractions of the north-west coast of France, such as medieval Dinan and the famed island of Mont Saint-Michel. Brittany's capital Rennes is under 50 kilometres away. But you'll probably be waiting to hear about the Breton beers… The site bar has them as a speciality, so you can work your way through the lot throughout your holiday and then start sampling all over again, all among the spectacular river views of the bar terrace. The bar also sells snacks; barbecues are allowed on site, and supplies can be sorted in Pleudihen-sur-Rance: it should be pointed out that this is a town known for its Breton cider… A games room, playground and pétanque court are also on site; amenities include a launderette, a washing-up area with dishwashers and washrooms with toilets and hot showers.

Power optional grass RV campsite

Liked The location is beautiful & if you’re after a relaxing stay with wildlife this is the place! The owner of the bar on the site was really welcoming & the food & drinks were nice. Hens & cockerel on site but no issue with noise from our pitch.

Disliked Facilities were small & basic which lets this site down for us & no motorhome points to fill up or empty so only a couple of days stay if you have a motorhome.

Power optional grass tent, travel trailer or trailer tent campsite

Liked It's a nice place overlooking the estuary. There's a relaxed atmosphere on the site, everything is maintained well, basic but everything I needed, shower/toilet.
The bar is excellent, the selection of bottled Brittany beers was most impressive, I think there was about 80 different types!!
It was a 24km bike ride to the ferry in Saint Malo.
I think it's a good area to ride the bike, take a walk, take the dog and relax
