  • Small family-run Pembrokeshire site with dog-friendly grassy pitches
  • A 35-minute walk from Saundersfoot and a five-minute drive to Tenby
  • Barbecues welcome; farm shop within five minutes' walk
Gold-sand coves, limestone stacks and fishing harbours… get your Pembrokeshire fix at Crane Cross Camping Park. Based just 35 minutes’ walk from Saundersfoot, where the sandy cove has shallow bathing water, this small family-run site has a splendid location alright. Tenby, a popular Pembrokeshire seaside town with a castle, 13th-century walls and a harbour where boats depart to Caldey Island, is only five minutes’ drive away too. Dog-friendly? Indeed. Barbecues welcome? That too.Handy facilities? Of course. There’s a fridge and freezer in case you want to store fresh eats from the farm shop five minutes’ walk away. Other on-site facilities are handy and include ladies and gents’ toilets, handwashing basins, unisex showers, shaver points, washing-up facilities, an ironing board and hot and cold water. For an additional cost, there’s also a washing machine, dryer and payphone available. For the kids, meanwhile, there's a sand play area where they can dig, explore and make friends. The site only accepts families and couples, which keeps things nice and peaceful. Dogs are welcome too as long as they're kept on leads… It's a cracking location for walks for canines (or humans), with the countryside and coast so easily accessible.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked The site is great and well maintained. We've been twice and is a firm favourite of ours and our families. It was also nice to see it more full with lots of children for our child to play with. Very child and dog friendly. Clean toilets and plenty of space in the showers for everything. Facilities are great too.

Phil’s customer service skills are great 99% of the time, however he was very tired after the busy bank holiday. Apologies if he wasn’t as friendly as usual. Rhian & Phil

Powered gravel travel trailer campsite

Liked Excellent family site - great facilities for the children to use.
Grounds are well maintained and owners available if needed.
Would recommend and return 😊
Didn’t use the wifi so can’t comment on that but did find it a little on the pricey side if needed but each to their own for that one

Disliked Not a dislike but could do with a mop / squidgy to clean out the shower cubical before / after use as they water gathered outside of the shower tray - not an issue, just a suggestion

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for leaving a review and staying at CC. Thank you for your suggestion. We clean the showers daily but leaving a squidgy at the side for the guests is a good idea. We are glad you enjoyed. Rhian & Phil

Primitive grass travel trailer campsite

Liked very spacious pitching area which was flat. Very well maintained site and super convenient to Saundersfoot. Excellent washing up facilities with super hot water. Toilets and showers very clean. Plenty of recycling and general waste bins which were regularly emptied.

All in all a lovely campsite. We will definitely stay again

Powered grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked I loved our pitch, we were pitch 9 and it was so close to the park, toilets and amenities. It made it easy for us to set up everything while our children played on the park and we didn't have to worry and wonder if they're okay. Great location, we loved how close we were to the beach and the farm shop.

Disliked There was nothing to dislike about the camp.

From the manager: Thank you Laura for your stay and your kind review. We are glad you like our facilities and that you enjoyed your stay. See you again soon hopefully. Rhian & Phil

Local attractions

Pembrokeshire has got a few tricks up its sleeves for those who want a thrill (or two, or three). Oakwood Theme Park (15 minutes’ drive) has rollercoasters and water rides, including loop-the-loops or family-friendly coasters. Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo (10 minutes) is its softer alternative, with over 750 animals and vintage fairground rides. Paintball, golf, archery, fishing… get your dose at Heatherton World of Activities (five minutes). If you’re still craving animals, however, Manor Wildlife Park (five minutes) has a walking safari where guests can have a go at feeding the wallabies. You bet that Pembrokeshire also has some gorgeous coastal path sections, with excellently clear waters and geological formations. The Green Bridge, Elugug Stacks and The Cauldron are all half an hour’s drive away, as is Saint Govan’s Chapel by the sea and the sandy Broad Haven South beach (half an hour), backed by a lily pond.
