  • Peaceful site in the grounds of an Anglesey pub
  • In Rhosgoch village, half an hour's drive from Beaumaris or Holyhead
  • Locally brewed drinks and hot pub food served; Sunday roast available
Wash down cool coastal walks and days by the sea with a chilled drink or some pub grub… at The Ring Pub Caravan and Camping Site, you’ll be staying on a small-scale pub site in the north of the Isle of Anglesey. As well as being roughly a mile and a half from Llyn Alaw Reservoir and four miles from the coast at Bull Bay (making walks or watersports easy to hunt down), this friendly North Wales spot has the added benefit of being attached to a well-established public house that serves food and drinks and has an all-round cosy feel… so, relax and socialise away. With a popular pub garden on the grounds of this peaceful countryside park (which are well-maintained, flat and bordered by greenery, by the way), there’s plenty of scope for lounging around. And when you’re not unwinding or tucking into something tasty in the former spot, there's lots of exploring to do nearby, including various visit-worthy stretches of the Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path. This well-mapped trail passes through lots of coastal villages, a fab way to stop and catch your breath or admire the views, including Moelfre (20 minutes) and Lligwy (20 minutes). Facilities-wise, back at base, you have wifi, internet, toilets, showers and other basics for overnight guests, plus entertainment options. There is a small shop on site with essentials, gifts and local produce, but if you need anything else, head 10 minutes down the road to the supermarkets in Amlwch.

Liked: The campsite is located in a good location to access nearby attractions which is perfect for those who want to pack a lot into their days.

Lovely campsite which is well maintained with great facilities! Toilets/showers are really clean. They have lots of leaflets and information available including some recommended walks. They really go out of their way to consider everything you can want and need for your stay.

We wished we tried the pub for food as it looked nice and cosy inside. Will definitely visit again☺️

From the manager: Dear Reviewer

I am sorry to read your comments and hear that you would not visit again, but would recommend others.

The Dog Area that you refer to is not something that we advertise on here or anywhere else. This is for the reason, that if we did advertise it, generally people would expect a larger secure area. This is why we only mention it to guests as an option for an area to take dogs on leads, off the road / site whilst with us (Doggy Waste Bin etc provided). We do also suggest 2 quiet lanes for dog walking on our check in leaflet and if asked, if you are looking to go a little bit further.

Our Menu pricing is average for the area, not the cheapest but certainly not the dearest.

From the manager: Dear Reviewer

I am sorry to read your review. We are a small site and this could possibly cause issues for larger units, we do generally not find people have difficulties due to the common use of motor movers. As you say, we are in a remote locate, as we advertise; I understand that this is not for everyone, but it is generally a huge selling point for us. As for the interaction from ourselves, Im not sure, we generally get praised as hosts but we are not on site all of the time, we do have days off, holidays and a number of supervisory staff to help with the day to day running of the site / business.

Powered cement/asphalt and grass campervan campsite (no awning, small)

Liked: I stayed here for 2 nights June 2025 with my cousin in the camper. Lovely place, out of the way. Showers and toilets spotless, grassed areas tidy and the pub was really really beautiful. I liked that recycling had been thought about and they'd made things very easy. There was also a special place to wash dogs and even a safe area to let them off lead, I think this is new and not quite complete as yet but usable. We chose to cook or eat whilst we were out walking so can't personally comment on the food, but it looked amazing. Surrounded by beautiful walks and all the staff we met were so friendly.

Disliked: If you don't want to move your van It is quite a remote area if you don't like to walk. But we walked to Amlwch which was just over an hour.

Liked: Had a great stay here. A lovely compact site in the middle of nowhere but close to everywhere. The owners have obviously invested heavily and produced a compact but very well appointed site with excellent facilities with the added bonus of a lovely pub where dinner and service were both first class. Highly recommended!

Local attractions

Diving, snorkelling or a game of golf? This fairly unique combination is a-go from Bull Bay’s little cove (10 minutes’ drive) and the Bull Bay Golf Club (10 minutes) - for golf games by the ocean. While you're scoping out all the spots by the sea, those of you who like surfing, swimming or sandcastle building will want to pay attention to the family-friendly Lligwy beach (20 minutes)… for boat trips to Puffin Island or family fishing trips, Beaumaris (30 minutes)… and for a pebble beach and plenty of fishing opportunities, Moelfre (20 minutes). When you’ve had your way with the coastal path, Parys Mountain (15 minutes) has plenty in the way of more hikes, with a large copper mine, crater and other cool landscapes for scenery. With all the focus on the ocean, the Holyhead Maritime Museum (30 minutes) will let you in on local tales of pirates and shipwrecks. Then, to chew on other historic sites as you go around, the Porth Wen Brickworks (10 minutes) are an abandoned Victorian brickworks and Penrhyn Castle (35 minutes) has a walled garden, woodland hide and a railway museum.
