  • Woodland site by the River Seiont 15 minutes’ walk from Caernarfon
  • A 15-minute drive to either Eryri National Park or Anglesey
  • Log-fired outdoor bath available, plus access to wild swimming
When you stay at Aros Glan Morfa, you’ll be in peaceful countryside yet still only 15 minutes’ walk from all the sightseeing attractions, restaurants and shops of historic Caernarfon in North Wales. The five-acre, family-run site sits along the River Seiont, surrounded by trees and wildflowers, and backed by the mountains of Eryri National Park (Snowdonia). If you fancy making a deep reconnection with nature, book the eco-friendly outdoor bath, filled with spring water and heated by seasoned logs from the grounds of the property (an extra charge is involved and the bath takes a good two or three hours to heat up). You can also go wild swimming in the Seiont; signposts will lead you to the small pebble beach. The site is also handily situated within easy reach of Eryri’s walking, cycling and climbing routes, the Llŷn Peninsula, expeditions across the Menai Straits to Anglesey and day trips along the pretty coastline of Gwynedd.

Hammock primitive forest floor tent campsite (no pets)

Liked Lovely site, quiet and small and quiet. Easy access to the river for wild swimming, which is fantastic. Was pleasantly surprised that there was also table tennis, badminton and a trampoline set up on site. Very easy access to the town.

Disliked Was confused by ‘hammock forest floor’ description and didn’t realise it was only for hammocks, no tent pitch. Apparently I’m not the first to make this mistake - I’m not a seasoned camper and it was my misunderstanding. The guy was great and sorted this immediately for us on arrival so no harm done, just worth being aware of.

From the manager: Thank you for your kind review.
The hammock pitch is always good fun, some manage it, others end up in their tent in the main campsite but it's certainly a fun option if you bring a hammock.

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked I loved the small quirky site, the hosts were really warming and helpful, the pitch was great.

Disliked 1st come 1st serve with showers!!! Day 2 the campsite was full and I could not get hot water after 11am. Had to swim in the sea to feel refreshed. I'm sure as its a new site they will rectify this issue.

From the manager: Thank you for your kind review.
I think the weekend you were with us we had lots of teenage children on site who were taking a long time in the shower. Our problem is we have made them too nice and free!
Our river would have been more refreshing for you than the sea.
We do have another 2 showers in build, not sure if there is another system in campsites other than 1st come, 1st serve and queuing. Happy for any suggestions.

Brilliant site - looking forward to staying there again

Powered gravel campervan campsite

Liked It was ok

Disliked I think you shoukd rethink putting a hard standing pitch near the bins. It was not good and smelly
There should be a noise cut off time and not being woken up at 11pm to midnight with motor home parking up next to campervan I assume filling with water
Hard standing pitches are to close to each other

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for your comments, indeed they were something we already had in mind. The spot by the bins has now been changed to a parking spot for cars and the electric campervan pitch moved further away.
We have a 9pm cut off point for arrivals, people are unpredictable! But you are right we need to be a lot more firmer with this as it's not fair on guests already on the site.

Great location with clean facilities but small pitches.

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked Great location for north Wales! Very clean and new shower and toilet facilities.
Wild swimming also on the grounds which the dog enjoyed.

Disliked Not a massive complaint but The pitches are not very big. We had a 3 man tent which just about fit length ways to leave us some space for chaira

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for your kind review.

We got the lawn mower out and made that pitch bigger in the meadow. The flowers are coming to an end now so the pitches will be even bigger.

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked Brilliant wild swimming spot. Great location - about 15 mins walk along a quiet cycle path into Caernarfon. Fabulous shower/toilet block. Nice to see the hens mooching around. Good play equipment and trampoline. The outdoor bath looked like a nice treat - but maybe a bit steep price-wise at £30.

Disliked Bit of road noise - but only to be expected so close to Caernarfon.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for your kind review. You'll have to try the outdoor bath next time you stay, it's a great experience, it's been a big hit, we could do with building another one it's so popular.
