Power optional grass tent campsite (four person)
Liked James was very friendly and welcoming. The camping field (tent only) was nicely spaced out with a lovely view of the hills and easy access to Offa's Dyke which we followed straight into Hay-on-Wye. The washing and toilet facilities were very clean and tidy.

Power optional grass tent or trailer tent campsite (large)
Liked Facilities were warm and spotless, the host was so welcoming and friendly, camp site is quiet and peaceful, no music means you can relax during the day and enjoy the great views our pitch had. WiFi signal was good for us but I hear a few other pitches had issues.
Disliked Very close to a road, regular loud traffic and over the weekend we heard multiple cars driving recklessly and continuously beeping. This woke us up a few times. We didn’t feel as close to nature as we wanted due to the noise.

On the hole we were very impressed by how they run the site.

Liked The views are amazing. The set up is very friendly and professional. We were greeted by the owner who showed us around and gave us lots of info. Everything was very well run, clean, tidy and you can tell the owners really cared about the site they had and wanted to keep it that way. I was also impressed with the toilet and shower block. It was very well laid out and clean. It was also great to be greeted when we arrived and they also said good bye when we left.
Disliked I don't think there is anything to dislike about the place.

Liked What an awesome place run by a great family and passionate host, James.
James meets and greets you on arrival and gives you all the information you need to make the most from your stay. The grounds are well maintained. The facilities are clean and more than adequate. But the view of the Black Mountains is something that we would never tire of.
