Liked: Was greeted by really friendly receptionist, who really made us feel welcome. Cleanliness of the toilets and showers was impeccable! Lovely pub, reasonably priced!👌Had shop onsite to buy essentials.
Disliked: Was our first time camping and struggled with the tent, we had nobody to help us, as the groundsman had a sore shoulder. That's our inexperience though, not his fault!🤣

Liked: Lovely site, very peaceful as it was not near school holidays. Lovely and clean and friendly staff. We weren’t able to sample the bar/restaurant as it was closed on the Tuesday we arrived, but we were able to order a take away.
Disliked: Not really a dislike, but there could be a sponge mop to use after a shower as floors a bit slippery. Also the shower base itself was a bit slippery too, so care needs to be taken. No TV signal

Liked: Very picturesque location; nice level pitch, if a bit small. Sound toilet, shower and other facilities if perhaps needing a bit of an update.
Disliked: Disappointed that posted facilities were not open, e.g. shop, crazy golf, indoor pool despite saying they were....moreover it does seem strange that there is only a 4 hour 'time slot' when they are supposedly open. Whilst the site accommodates a huge number of varied pitches, only a handful of visitors were on site, and staffing was minimal. No TV reception, and no indication that there could be a problem (considering the heavy rain this meant one was a bit 'stuck'). Took the issues up with the receptionist who was uninterested & told us we should have read the T&Cs beforehand - we did.

Liked: The site is very clean and tidy. A large site with nice facilities. The en-suites are a nice touch. Good busses into town.
Disliked: The button on the showers. The water comes out for 10 seconds and then stops.

Liked: The pitch we stayed at was well spaced, clean and was fully serviced. The toilet block had just been refurbished. Walks around the site were great and wildlife was abundant. Ponds had the usual waterfowl and the odd heron. Cuckoo's calling and buzzards soaring. The Lairds Inn on site is fantastic and dog friendly.
Disliked: Our stay was at the start of the season so not too busy which meant the shop on site sometimes closed which was annoying. A notice on the door would have been good to show the the shorter opening times

Liked: The showers are toilets we're very clean bright and warm. The campsite was also tidy, nice and quiet even though the A75 was not that far away. The pub and restaurant was perfect for a good meal and meeting with friends.
Disliked: The only thing that was missing for us was a foot path along the road side for getting into the village of Creetown and stepping onto uneven and wet grass made it a bit harder for my husband who has bad legs. Perhaps a few lights along tha Road would be helpful also due to it being very dark which made it dangerous for my husband stepping onto grass out of the way of traffic.
