Clean, well-kept site with friendly staff & large pitches. Great location for towns, beaches & coastal walks. Bar/restaurant generally good. Some found facilities dated, noted hot water issues & occasional noise/crowding.

An excellent site with wide, fully serviced, flat pitches.

Liked Lovely clean site with all services provided. Every pitch is exceptionally wide and bordered by a lovely privacy hedge. Booked at very short notice but met by an extremely helpful receptionist and given a very well positioned pitch. Good location with beautiful village and ancient priory only a few minutes walk away.

Disliked Not a dislike but could do with another toilet/ shower block I never had to wait for a shower but I could imagine in peak season there would be a wait but didn’t spoil anything and I’d definitely will return and recommend

Liked Location, amenities and site cleanliness were spot on.
Short walk down to the local town and a nice wander to an amazing beach.
Disliked Nothing. WiFi was a bit rubbish tbh and wouldn’t let us join on any device.

Uninspiring pitch, showers need cleaning and fixing but it’s cheap!

Location
Disliked Very much a holiday park focussing on statics
Staff not very friendly, check in was a piece of paper and told that the entry road would be shut 9-1 the next day for resurfacing so we had to get up early and leave, or stay on site.
Shower block grubby and same rubbish in there for the whole 4 day visit.
Photos are of seasonal pitches, tourers seem to have only gravel and no hedges.
Pitch very close to neighbours and could see in 3 from our camper.

Good place for overnight stay between Newcastle and Edinburgh
Powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite (super)
Liked Good pitch with good facilities. Only stayed one night. Pub seemed nice and friendly, food was ok simple pub food, nothing to write home about but filled empty stomachs. Big tv with football on for those interested. There was a singer Sunday afternoon who we just missed as we arrived.
Disliked Not sure how busy the shower block will get with only two showers, but there are mainly static caravans with their own facilities so not sure how much of an issue this would be.
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: Thanks for sharing your experience! We're glad you enjoyed the pitch and facilities, and that the pub offered a friendly atmosphere and hearty food — even if it wasn’t gourmet, it did the job! Sorry you missed the Sunday singer; hopefully next time you’ll catch the entertainment.
Hope to welcome you back for a longer stay next time! 🍻
